I have to admit something here on Mylot and it isn't easy for me to do it. I have to admit that I'm a huge fan of Taylor Hicks! I always have been and I'm an honorary member of the SOUL PATROL- WOOO!!!! I listen to Taylor in the car and belt it out..I just like him. Even though he lost his record contract- he's still my American Idol. All my friends just laugh and think he's cheesy!!! He's a talented dude! So there you have it- I Love Taylor! Do you guys have a closet singer or band that you love and everyone else thinks it's cheesy?? Do you buy tickets to Weird Al concerts?? Dance around and sing in the shower to Michael Jackson's Thriller album??? Who's your cheesy musical love?? Thanks for reading!

Nice tease, I'm sure there are many more interesting closets that you (and me and most others here) are still safely ensconced within! For me, I have to kick it old school with th ultimate cheese of Air Supply, you know "Lost in Love" and all that schmaltz *retreats back into his embarrassing musical closet"

I LOVE LOVE LOVE TAYLOR HICKS!!!!When he was on American idol I watched him every week with a huge smile.I voted until my fingers hurt.Went to a few of his concerts and bought and paid for his first cd he made before he was on American Idol that cost me 40 dollars on ebay.I also of course have a few shirts and a proud memeber of his fan club.also bought his new cd when it came out.So yes I love him.I think he sings wonderful, fun dancer, cute, sexy, just everything.Glad to know a few of us still know a good singer when we see him(hear him in this case)!Go SOUL PATROL...Me and Taylor forever...

I am not a huge fan of Taylor Hicks but I do like his voice. I don't think he's as cheesy as chekezie though LOL I don't know if anyone else knows but I love Andrea Bocelli and I find his voice mesmerizing LOL I have one particular CD that I listen to often and it really soothes me especially when I'm in a not so good mood. I love singing in the shower to his music.

I also like Taylor Hicks... i think he is the most unique American Idol winner there is... it is just too bad that this former record company did not market his first album well... but i think it also sold a lot... but the only problem is that it did not reach the 1 millionth mark... but that is just crazy... I hope he his next record company will do more good for him...

Well, I am pretty open on my choice for music. Don't care who you are i listen to what I listen to. But i do feel a little ambivalent with one song: Victims of Love sometimes I think it's ok other times I think it sounds too cheesy even hilarous. It goes like this... Victims of love A broken down affair So sad to see the debris Scattered Everywhere Sometimes I think it's ok. other times I think it's got to be the worst choice of lyrics ever.

I know that song Victims of Love and I have to agree, sometimes it's good. Sometimes it's bad. You just can't put your finger on it. I liked that Weird Al one too. I love him and he creeps me out at the same time. Thanks for the response

My taste in music is really weird. I usually listen to celtic folk music. Pretty much anything with a violin and/or a fiddle really hooks my ear. Try out Loreena McKennit if your in the mood for something new and different. I am not a fan of pop music. I like music that actually is music and not someone in hollywood trying to crank out an album for a quick buck. HOWEVER. I do have a guilty pleasure, and I really do hate to admit it. When I am sure no one will find out, I listen to Hillary Duff. I think she is so sweet and so talented. Her songs are so fun and uplifting... I cant help but like her. Oh God I cant believe I just told someone my secrete... Oh, by the way - who is Taylor Hickies?

Your secret is safe with me and 125,000 other people!! LOL!! Taylor Hickies- you are too funny- won American idol last year or the year before...something like that. He was a gray haired 27 year old with a great voice and a ton of energy!!

There's nothing wrong with loving Taylor Hicks. I voted for him many times last year because I thought he was different and interesting. He seems like a nice guy, too. I used to like Weird Al, but I don't think I've ever been to any of his concerts, though he is sorta local. I remember liking Michael Jackson when I was younger. Actually, a lot of girls went nuts over Michael Jackson. I think my friends had the Thriller album, too.
