in choosing a partner, is zodiac sign compatibility important?

i guess it's not that important, but i believe zodiac sign also has impact in a relationship. relationship will run smoother if your compatible in zodiac. but sometimes its really destiny that makes you meet your partner. so i guess it's just a plus factor or advantage if you're zodiac signs are compatible.
