Well I transplanted my green beans into flower boxes today. This is some of the plants now sitting in my dining room. They sit where they get the earkly morning sun through mid afternoon. Later in the day I move them to another window to get the late sun through the evening. I think they took very well. I may just grow these indoors to see if I can do it. I will be planting many more in the yard as well. Do you transplant any veggies to grow indoors at all? If so what types and what kind of sucess have you had? HAPPY GARDENING FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Them beans look good, I wish I had a nice sunny room that I could have lots of plants and seedlings. I have a couple of nutty cats that would detroy the plants.

Ask your son to do this. You could water them and use a hoe to weed them without bending over. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

So these are the green beans you were referring in a recent discussion, that came up early? They look very healthy now & this transplant system should work. If you are moving them to get the sun all day, I would think being indoors will be fine. Isn't it going to be a nuisance moving them every day? I have never transplanted veges, but I sure have transplanted native plants. All are outside. Some are successful with transplants, & some aren't. I commented on your photo.

Yes the same bean plants. They do look nice don't they? No problem moving them. I even rotate them ever so often so they don't get used to leaning in one direction towards the sun and or heat. This way they will grow evenly. Thanks again. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I start my veg seeds inside but then when it is warmer and the soil is warm then I will transplant them to the outside. I do not have much space to grow veg so I do grow some in pots and containers

I've a decent sized yard and use maybe 10% of it only. My dog needs his space to run so I try to keep some space open. But in the future he may have a LOT less space. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

They look great! I've got several tomato and cucumber, but only one bean and sugar snap pea so far. None of them have the second (true) leaves yet, but they look pretty healthy and are growing steadily, so I guess they're ok. I planted banana and mixed peppers too and they haven't done a thing. I have one tiny pepper that appears to just now be poking through, but that's it. All of mine will be going outside, but some will remain in their containers there.

Thanks. The peppers usually take a couple to 3 weeks before they start to sprout up from the dirt though. So just keep them warm and in light and keep the soil slightly mosit at all times till they do sprout up. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I cannot wait to put a garden out this year and get some fresh vegetables. I guess we are going to wait and make sure there is no chance for frost again before doing so. I used to start some seeeds indoors but I haven't done so this year. I just haven't had the time to. I am so ready for a fresh tomato.

Its a nice thing you are doing but there are certain plants which needs more sunshine and you should not transplant those into your living room. Like you mentioned in the dopic that they get the early morning sun and also that you move them to face the sunlight when they sets, thats very nice of you if you can do regularly. I don't remember or know the names of any plants but there are certain plants which needs to be outdoors so hope you take care of those. Happy Gardening

I think any plant can be grown indoors actually. It is all a matter of tending to their needs and adjusting things such sa light, heat and moisture is all. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I've grown potatoes in big pots inside b4. The potatoes were on the small side but alot of them. I tried with a tomato once but my cat thought it was there for him to climb so that ended it.

As you know things only grow as big as the area they are planted in. So stunted taters would be the result. I don't expwect a huge crop of beans with these indoors in these boxes but want to try it anyhow. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~
