I would choose non-fat and no-sugar ice cream and frozen yogurt.

Whenever it comes to ice cream, I would choose fat-free and sugar-free ice cream and frozen yogurt. These are the best choice for desserts. For toppings, I would choose fat-free and sugar-free chocolate sauce/fudge, peanut butter sauce, and whipped cream; all fat and sugar-free. If I choose stuff that has fat and sugar in them, it is not healthy at all. So what I am to do for now on, I will go out to a grocery store and look around for ice cream and frozen yogurt that are sugar and fat-free. So avoid stuff that are fattening and has sugar. Low-fat and low-sugar is still ok. Please let me know what you think. OK? I appreciate your responses.

when it comes to ice creams for me i usually go for the one which have nuts in them and are chocolatey.but if i have a choice available i go for fat free ice creams and check if there are any fat free toppings available.if there are there's nothing like it if not i ask them for fresh fruit topping.it tastes good and is healthy good though it's always better to ask them if it's canned or otherwise.i love frozen yogurt.and can eat it any number of times.

Suger free stuff never tastes the same or good. I would just stick on staying away from it.

Hi Jakesnake, you are really good in self-control when come to choosing desserts. All the desserts you mentioned are my favorites. So far I haven’t come across any non-fat and no-sugar ice cream and yogurt in my place. I pick the low fat and non sugar yogurt which is available in the market here. It is weird that I always find desserts with full cream milk and sugar are extremely delicious. Though I know they are not healthy food I still couldn’t refrain from taking them. For the sake of health I always endeavor to cut down the amount when eating them. I share the stuff with my husband and his sister every time. So this means that I take only one third of them each time instead of one. Besides I try not to take them too often.

I am also a "no sugar'" or low sugar person. Because of a medical condition that I have, I cannot have sugar. I like to buy the "no sugar added" products. They have less preservatives in them and taste much better. They have some really good "no sugar added" products out. (I really like the ice cream)

Hello dear Jakesnake. I am glad to know that you choose very healthy food to consume, which is good to your health. I am also trying to do the same as you have mentioned, but I cannot always make myself do it as sometimes I miss the unhealthy food and would still buy and eat it...Thanks and take care.

I do not eat sugar free anything unless it is fruit sweetened or sweetened with natural means. I do not like or trust artificial sweeteners and I believe them to be toxic to the body. I would recommend that people stay away from them... So I will have regular or low fat ice cream or yogert. I normally will eat my ice cream plain in a sugar cone but if I am presented with a place that offers free toppings I might have: hot fudge, strawberries, cherries, pineapple and nuts and granola. I sometimes go to a natural yogert place and have frozen yogert with fruit but sometimes I like not so natural and sweeter yogert with chocolate chips, brownies, hot fudge, nuts, etc.

Fudge peanut-butter sounds good. Your plan sounds good as long as you don't eat it all too often. Just because it's fat and sugar-free doesn't mean it has no calories. But, if you eat that in place of what you already are eating, then it's a better choice. For me, I just choose to eat less sugar and fat overall in my diet and it has helped keep me from craving those things.
