This post reminds me of the movie starring Nicholas Cage “ghost rider”a guy whose car was involved in an accident that resulted in the death of two persons and injury to many was reported not to know who the driver of the car was,the car had not been reported missing nor stolen.its exactly 8 days now and the police are still investigating who the driver was.Now the owner of the car was said to have some royal image .My opinion is hold the owner of the car and the driver will be found.I think there is a kind of cover up going on though, but I ask is it possible for your car to be out in the evening and be involved in an accident without you knowing who the driver was?

I think the person should know who the driver of the car was. He had the keys to the car to begin with, most likely. someone would have had to steal the car and hotwire it before they could drive it and get into an accident with it. I think it sounds very fishy also.
