our government is withholding information from us and keeping us dependent on them? Example: medications, prescriptions, FDA, foods that make us ill, chemicals in our foods, pesticides, vaccines/no vaccines, Gas price gouging, etc.? What are your thoughts?

What made it terrible to you? Just curious on your opinion. Of course, it's not reality, but is thought provoking.

I haven't seen the movie but I want to. I do believe the government hides things from us but I think it would scare the pants off of us to know the truth about everything. On the other hand, I also believe that politicians make trade offs and hide things to further their own agendas.

Please do comment on it. Of course, I don't believe the movie is real for today's government. But I feel the movie is thought-provoking about how a government can control people's behaviour, because of fear or not wanting to have problems.

That's what the government wants you to believe. Honestly.... there are so many things they don't tell the public because of mass hysteria among other things.

I feel the government makes sure we only know the things they want us to know

That's a great point. I feel the government only allows us to know what they want, too.

of course there is a lot going on that we don't know about. a lot of information that can help society is suppressed. if the government is so willing to use fear to control the people, why wouldn't they go so far as to create terror within the society? we have been taught since elementary school that the government protects and cares for the people. so its not easy for people to mistrust. we will need strong-willed, focused people to help overthrow the power that holds down the american people- the power that keeps poverty and ignorance rampant. those who benefit from such a government are likely to disagree, because they, too, will be overthrown.
