The new James Bond movie, "Quantum of Solace," is putting more focus on the secret agent hero and less on the gee-whiz gizmos. And the hero has sides the audience hasn't seen before.he question is: Do audiences want an emo Bond?
Craig says not to worry too much.
"We're not making a kitchen-sink drama here. We are making a Bond movie," he said. " And there may be things exploding, but they're good to look at.

I think giving Bond a bit more depth is a good idea. The gadgets are neat seeming but can be really cheesy. By focusing less on the techno-magic and more on the character and story, I think the plots can become stronger. That said, the Bond franchise has always employed techo-magical stuff to provide interesting settings for the movies, so relying less upon them does raise the bar for the script writers.

I have honestly never heard of this movie until now that I have seen your discussion about it. I like James Bond movies though. I will have to add this movie to our movie rental from Netflix. We rent movies monthly and I would like to see this one. Thanks for letting me know.
