Hello my Friends
As live goes by we are handed
challenges again and again.
Some of us use them to grow
Some of us sit down and cry
Some of us complain
Some of us bleme others
etc...etc...
I have been all of the above
but am trying to be the first!
What do you do?

"The Obstacle In Our Path:
In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the king's wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the stone out of the way.
Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. After the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the King indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway. The peasant learned what many of us never understand!
Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition."

Hi raydene! I have heard that story before but as I got older and many problems besieged me, I have completely forgotten about that beautiful story. Thank you for sharing it and once again reminding me of the beautiful lesson one can learn from that. To be honest with you, I do cry all the time for problems and hurts I have had and still have. I do complain and whine before my Lord and always tell Him that I am very weak so he has to deliver me from such problem. I hope this story will once again give me strength and inspire me to get over all the hurdles in my life. Once again, thank you my dear friend. Just my thoughts. Take care and have a nice day! :)

That is a good story and something for us all to keep in mind. We might not always see the opportunity from the obstacle. It might even be hard to see but hopefully in time we will find it and be happy for it. Hind sight can be 20/20 and looking back we can see that the challenge has enabled us in ways we could never foresee.

You and me both. There are some I'm still not too sure on but I'm hoping in time they will all become clear.

I too have been at different times all of those listed but am now learning to remove obstacles and learn from them and just get on with my life. I have had an accident which left me with a almost useless left arm and I went through the various steps then I just decidedd I could go ahead and do almost all the same things that I had done before so I did cope I removed my obstacle and saw the good things still left in my life.

Thank you for posting that story, the lesson is so true. We should always try to remove obstacles in our way rather than simply complain about them.
For me it would depend on how big the obstacle is. If there is a way round it I will try another route, but if it is impassable I will do everything I can to remove it. The only alternative would be to give up and go back and I don't believe in doing that without at least trying.

I believe in this also. I often wandered in my lifetime, why in the world certain things have happened to me in my life. I would often question it and not understand it at all. I would cry my eyes out alot of time also. I have come to learn over the years, that everything happens for a reason, be it good or bad. We have to learn from it and be thankful for the good things that will come later in our lives.

You know that is true like the saying in a dark tunnel at the end there is light. But when we experienced problem we always have this reaction. We always like to react on situation that find solution to it. I even have this kind of problem when i have problems. When problem arrived you will find me keep on complaining and talking about my weaknesses than to solved it. Like now. When we are okay after complaining slowly we find ourselves and we will solve it anyway.
