Earnings Recalculation Coming Up

Hello everyone!Just wanted to give you a heads up that April payments for March activity will go out in the next day or two. Every month before we do payments, we do a recalculation of earnings for the previous month that redistributes earnings from moderated/deleted actions to the rest of myLot users. This will occur sometime today or tomorrow. So what happens is that a small number of users with low-quality activity will see a decrease in March earnings, while a larger number of users will see a slight increase in March earnings. We do this every single month. We didn't think it was fair for those forfeited earnings to just disappear. We'd rather give it back to the myLot community. Here's a quick example. A user creates a couple of discussions and earns 5 cents. Those discussions are later deleted because they violate the myLot community guidelines. That 5 cents is then given back to the rest of the myLot users during this recalculation process. I hope this makes sense! It's definitely a good thing for 99% of our users.

That makes perfect sense Crash! Thanks for the info! I love that the earnings are added back into the accounts to those of us who really try to follow the guidlines. I can't wait to receive my payment thanks for the info.

Crash, thanks for the heads up. I actually figured that something like this took place. Because the earnings always seem to magically increase or decrease right before we actually get paid. It is nice to know that the earnings are redistributed.

I want to know why I did not recieve an alert about this discussion crash? Now this is something I like to heqar as far as spreading the wealth that others lose due to their ignorance as far as guidelines go. I think I am in that 99% group. Thanks myLot. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Hello dear Crash. Thanks so much for your update about the earnings recalculation. I had many times of seeing the earnings increase from one time to another when I was mylotting and did not know why. The last time when I saw this happen to my earning was that it finally increased to more than twenty cents and I was so happy to see it. Crash that sounds pretty fair to me so if we really try to make quality discussions and responses then we can only profit if we abide by the rules and do not flame norcall nasty names in our responses.

Thanks Crash for explaining this. I suspected this earlier and I'm glad you are doing this because it sounds fair. I'm glad you're around so that people can get a better idea on what's going on rather than getting all panicky.

This makes sense to me. In fact, it is a lot fairer. I especially like the part on rewarding My Lotters who do quality posts, rather than the many one lines I see.

Thanks for that info Crash! I guess that's why I noticed my earnings went up $.02. Whatever, it's still $.02 right? LOL. Anyway, it's good that myLot recalculates the earnings every month before payout cos I don't understand why I get low earnings per day since April started. Too much whining, I'm going to stop now. Cheers! :)

aah ... I see. thanks for clearing it up. I was wondering back then because some earnings fluctuated. It's really good that myLot still rewards the members for the good posts they have made even if the discussions were deleted. Thumbs up for myLot!

thank you for the update crash, it's nice to know that the earnings from deleted discussions are not really forfeited and instead being distributed to the rest of us. that's a fair play and this makes mylot reputation rise all the more. more power and thank you for the payment.

Hey !! Thanks a lot Crash.. Today morning when i saw my earnings, i had earned 0.37$ but when i saw my earnings for yesterday, it was only 0.21$. I was surprised and somehow ignored because it was anyway in my favour. Then i just saw your post. I got my answer. I had earned 0.16$ extra for my March earnings. Thats a good idea yaar. Its some sort of bonus i must say. Atleast it gives people some sort of incentives to be here at mylot. Anyway thanks a lot for the information and yes ofcourse for those 0.16$. I hope mylot offers more of such things.

oh, its really good. it ensures that users are not blabbering and they are using the site for meaningful discussions. it benefits a large crowd. i am new to this site and yet to learn more about the site. but i see a lot of potential in this site. Cheers to mylot.com
