Here is a squirrel lawn ornament I recently bought through a local auction I visit. It cost me a total of a $2 winning bid. It's about 7 inches tall and so cute. I had a really nice one last year but my son was bouncing his basketball one day while visiting and crashed ionto it breaking the ceramic figure into tiny bits. Have you ever bought lawn ornaments? What are your faces? My fave is any type of gnome. But the ones they had at this auction were going for well over $30 each one. Unreal. I wanted a few gnomes they had but settled for this as well as a couple others. Do you buy yours at garage sales, auctions, or stores?

Now you have me looking for auctions around here. I also just told my husband we really should have a nice little pickup truck if we're going to go to auctions. He's leaving for work and can't discuss it right now haha. I love those gnomes, but I haven't found any at garage sales, or at the store. Maybe a couple dumb looking ones at the store, or they have some and they cost way too much. Gnomes are my favorite, but I don't have any.

I have a couple gnomes in my yard that I left there all winter. they have lost their paint for the most part too. Here's one of them still in the snow in a shady area of my yard.

I never knew you could buy such inexpensive things at an auction, that has to be fun.

I've even bought boxes of items for a buck or
two and found great things in the boxes.

I love to buy lawn ornaments. I have a few of them out in my yard. I have a turtle, squirrel, a fisher boy and a couple of other things. I had more than that but the weather has taken its toll on them and they had to be thrown out. I buy most of mine from local stores or online.

Wow that is a good bid. And your right it is cute.Haven't gotten any lawn ornaments yet. But am in the market for a bench. I ocassionally go to yard sales. You can find some decent stuff. If you are willing to look hard enough that is.

Scoping out other ppls garbage sometimes will net you some great stuff and free. I just recently found a white plastic bench with a planter on each end I've been wanting that someone set out with 'free' on it. I grabbed that baby up b4 someone else did. lol Also found push/self-propelled mowers that way as well. Lil work done on them and they ran good as new for several years each. I could go on and on about the stuff we found that others threw out. All in decent shape and even sold some of the stuff in yard sales.

I've also driven around finding things people sit
out as trash and it's perfectly useable etc.
