i bought my canon 350d 3 years ago. 1 year ago there's an ERR 99 appear in the camera display. the guarantee card has had expired already. but the service agent couldn't fix it either. later i found out that the ERR 99 come from the lens that come with the camera when i bought it. apparently i'm not the only one who have ERR 99 in the canon camera. lots of friends have it with variable reason. until today the ERR 99 can't be fixed. do you guys have the same problem?what do you do to fix that?

Canon has very good service centres. They accept Canon cameras even if the warranty has expired. Just send to any nearby centre and inform them your problem. They do not charge if the problem is the manufacturer's.

I think I had an ERR 99 once and it turned out that there was a lack of communication between my CF card and my camera. I basically had to wipe out the card and reinsert it and it's been fine ever since. I think it might mention that error code in the owner's manual. Now, I have a card reader so that I can get all the pictures off the card before I erase it.
