With all the classesand homework, most of us didn't make eating right a priority when I was at school. When we had a lot of tests, had to do a lot of studying, we just prefered to get something fast. For lunch, it's really whatever I can grab. I usually ate snack or fast foods whatever were quick and easy to eat, on the run, and sometimes that came at the expense of having more balance with the diet. Some girls wanted to stay skinny, they just skipped their breakfast or lunch,or just eat an apple for lunch. Now that I've left shool,I can get to cook, and make my own meal. It's not abundant but very healthy with balanced nutrition.

I wish that I could make eating right a priority but I just do not have the time or the money to do that right now. I know it would be alot better for my health. I hope to be able to make more time later on to eat right and to exercise. Right now, I am working too much to do it.

I must admit that I do not... I purchase things to eat that are easy to prepare and that are inexpensive to put on the table or that taste good... These are not all critera for good for you foods... I promise myself that I will do better at times but it seems that I do not take these promises seriously.

no unfortunately I have never eaten right in my life and you can tell by my size. Now it is even harder because I get food from a food bank and that is charity so I get whatever they give me and must eat that.

NO and I SHOULD! When I am not terribly stressed it is a priority but when I am stressed, like if something especially goes wrong with one of the kids my eating style goes out the window. Not that I hit the drive thrus or anything of that nature but I snack, snack and snack and my portions are much bigger than they should be. How do we keep eating well as a priority no matter what is going on in our lives? I know well enough that there is never an excuse to eat poorly, but I still make it that way.

We make lunch and dinner a priority everyone eats right. During breakfast they can eat bread or biscuits and whatever they can grab also during snack time..But not dinner and lunch. We have to have a complete meal eating together. I don't want anyone to not eat right around the house. It wouldn't be right to have that. Especially with my school kids.

I personally don't really think about it when I'm eating. I just grab whatever seems to look good at the time. I personally like to eat home cooked food rather than eating out anywhere. I do like to eat out every once in awhile though, when I don't feel like having the same old things all the time. When I was in high school, a lot of my friends were the type that wanted to stay skinny and didn't eat. I personally ate my lunch, and usually ate whatever they had there to offer on that particular day. I personally don't like feeling hungry. I'm not a heavy person, I never have been. I used to have a higher matabolism when I was younger, but it's still fairly quick because I don't gain weight too easily, and it just fluctuates anyways.

[smartassery]What is this healthy eating of which you speak? [/smartassery] I don't eat healthy, I never have and I never will. Trans fat free 0 saturated fat, no msg, all this means to me is they took all the stuff that tastes good out of it. Heck I don't even know what trans and saturated fats *are* and I don't particularly care either. I like my non-non-fat sour creams and my non-light mayonnaise and I like my bacon on the chewy side and coated in grease. I like caffeine in my ridiculously sugar filled drinks and I like blah blah blah blah blah and blah. Really, the priority for me is whether or not something tastes good. I don't really give a flying...squirrel about what it is, or what's in it as long as it tastes good.

I do try to make it a priority! I can grow some food and also buy healthy food to make for my family! We often eat stir-fry with rice and fruit for dessert!

Yes i do prioritize that specially with my kids..if i know the time for meals should be taken.. I always get angry if they dont eat on time.. Because our stomach is used to it already in that kind of routine so we better eat something.

Yeah, I need a lot of improvement in this area. I had a cholesterol test done once. They found bacon. Big hunks of it. Cholesterol is the Greek word for Taste. I wouldn't mind eating better, I guess, if it just tasted good. Maybe you can, I don't know, but if I had to give up certain foods I think I might be a miserable SOB.

I am afraid I don't eat healthy enough :( . I eat a lot of fast food and even the foods I make are not that healthy, I still eat junk food to. I should eat better but like you said we are lazy and want things fast and with little effort.

I must admit that I have not eaten in a healthy manner. I loved fast food Mexican food in the past and grabbed it often. I cook a lot of pasta dishes and don't get enough fresh fruits and vegies. I am trying to be a little more disciplined than I used to but I still like eating dark chocolate chips after the meals.
