You use Linux? I use Linux, too. Because it's free. And I don't like Win XP, it always makes me scan the virus everyday. I think Linux is the best.

Personally, I like Win XP the best. I've never had a problem with it and wouldn't use anything else.

Sure! XP is good but vista is better once you get the hang of it Its also a good idea to use a firefox browser Its more secure and ideally suited for web 2.0

There is no operating system that is better than Windows XP. Vista will give you many headaches and sleepless nights. Why you may even seriously consider giving up computing and joining a monastery.

I'am using both xp sp2 and vista 64 bit, actually i cannot say what's really the best because according to reviews in some sites that vista 64 bit is more faster that the other version of vista ultimate 32btit particularly in games because it gives twice the power of a 32 bit OS.. but as of now xp is still the best among the rest. :)

I don't have much just xp and it is good for me, I don't think that I want vista, some people say they hate it, and I don't like trying new stuff that still has bugs in it.

hi mahesh2008, in my opinion the best operating system i recommend is vista( if your system allows you), i think vista need 1 GB of ram, since its newest and the smartest, i have microsoft windows xp 2007 right now, i like to have vista but i can't because my computer's ram is too low for it, its 256 MB, happy mylotting!!

Some people would have their own opinion about the best operating system of computers. :) I think that would depend on personal preference. For those who love Windows would certainly answer that Windows are the best operating system they have ever used, but some others might say that Linux or Mac or any other else. I am still using Windows XP as my main operating system, but the reason is because my main projects still need to run on Windows XP. However, when the projects have been upgraded to portable system, perhaps I would switch to Linux. but ... Leopard is cool.

Microsoft is intending all users to migrate to Vista.XP is by far the best OS than others.XP is simple to use, light weight. It supports almost all softwares and i do prefer xp over others. what is your though on this

I use Kubuntu now. It's free. And it's easy to use . I don't like Ubuntu because I don't like GNOME , KDE is better . So I use Kubuntu. You can also use Mandriva Linux , It's great, too.

At present I still use Windows XP Professional and I am satisfied with it. At least it's better than Vista as there are still so many things don't support it.

I am using vista because my computer is newer & that was my only choice pretty much. I have heard many good arguments for linux, but I do not have much experience with that other than knowing that is the platform my webhost is set up to use so I can run wordpress on my sites. I wasn't too crazy about Vista at first but now I'm accustomed to all of its differences and don't mind it at all - i'm starting to like it actually!

At home, it's Vista on the new computers (no choice in that matter unless I wanted to pay more for custom) and 1 older one with XP. At work it's XP on the newer, SBS 2003 on the server, and 98SE (LOL) on 1 old PC. So far I prefer XP. However, I am getting used to Vista - haven't run into any problems yet (knock on wood). I originally depised the new IE 7 but have since found the tabs useful, but still don't like the overall format or look of it.

i'm still using the computer i bought in 2003, so it has windows xp. so far xp is the best (i had previously used windows 3.1 and 98). i'm not planning to buy a new comoputer in the near future so i'll be using xp for a while yet. besides, i've heard that vista has many problems.

I prefer windows XP. Theres so many non windows options it all depends on personal preference and what you'd like to do with the computer. I would never recommend Vista as one i like though its annoying with the are you sure you'd like to do this screen..as well from a tech stand point its changed alot of names and removed access to alot of good tools.

So far I still find Windows XP is more user friendly although Vista has all the cool apps & widgets plus the Windows Aero 3D feel. I've tested Linux Suse which is quite impressive as well, the competitor for Vista. Then again, the PC I'm using + our laptop is on XP OS. So I guess it'll be until we buy a new PC/laptop, we'll be sticking with XP for quite a while.
