Ever Exercise in Your Birthday Suit?

You read that right - I DARE you to try it - that is IF you dare in front of a mirror, preferably a full-length one or, even better, one of those triple ones like they have in clothing stores. Think about it, what better motivation could you possibly have? It's human nature that the vast majority of us, even those who look perfect in a bikini, are dissatisfied with our naked bodies. Therefore PLEASE, don't be offended by any of this because it's not ME telling you what you're going to see in those mirrors it's what YOU'LL see whether it's really there or not. Here's how to do it; depending on how often you exercise and how out of shape you are I'd recommend doing it in the nude every week or two. Doing it every time would defeat the purpose, just like weighing yourself everyday when you're on a diet. The very first time you're going to feel horrified, mortified - not to mention VERY undignified! You'll see jiggles when you wiggle where you least expect it, you'll find more rolls than in your favorite bakery, you'll discover new crinkles, wrinkles and dimples, you'll find some parts of you don't stop moving just because the rest of you does and you'll start to really wish there were no such thing as gravity. But, guess what? If you really stick with your exercise routine, no matter what you choose to do, the second time you'll possibly find the jiggling isn't as bad, the rolls will be a bit smaller, the wrinkles and dimples not quite as deep and you'll start to believe you may someday be able to DEFY that gravity a little bit. You won't really need any "before and after" pictures because those pictures are going to be etched forever in your memory and each time they'll look a little better. Anyone here up to the challenge? Are you willing to try it then come back here and discuss it? Have any of you actually already tried it - inquiring minds want to know all about it! Annie

wow, this is a great suggestion. definitely worth a try. i can almost see myself laughing at my own reflection in the mirror while doing those sit-ups. i might even earn those abs sooner due to excess laughing. (imagine: my tummy vibrating) oh well, thanks for this. i just might try this. i'll let you know when i do. (meantime, gotta get those triple view mirrors!)

Not that I'm in bad shape, but I definitely know I am no Brad Pitt, I'd be somewhat horrified to try this. I think this is why most guys go with dim lighting at best as we all know we don't look as good as the girls we are with in most cases. This is a good idea though if you need to get in shape fast. The mirror can't lie to you like nice clothing can and does everyday. I'll probably skip this idea unless I meet another possible Mrs. Right anytime soon or get hired as a lifeguard (although I can't swim so the odds are somewhat low). If I do need to get in good shape fast (which I'm actually really good at as I see food as a necessity not a luxury) I will definitely try this and tell you how long before I'm rivaling Brad. I almost wish I needed to get in shape because I could if challenged, but unfortunately in this modern world we either have machines or illegal immigrants to take care of the hard work for us. I don't see myself as a lazy person but definitely can be in some cases. Not to tangent off AP, but how close are we in Penn.? Can you pull off an Obama victory for us over there? I don't want to be/sound too overconfident (frickin' NH) but I have a bottle of Champaign in the fridge in case the upset happens. I'm so eager to go 1 on 1 on the issues Vs. the McCain Camp.

You're so right about this modern world. You can do just about every errand there is without even getting out of your car. We're getting VERY close in Pa., as close as within 4 points according to some polls. It's going to be quite interesting. Annie

Yeah I'm very cautiously optimistic as I remember how much a downer New Hampshire was as I literally couldn't sleep a wink that night. I'll definitely be watching Penn. all day on the 22nd. A win in Penn. ends this even if Sen. Clinton refuses to drop out.

I would never think about exercising in my birthday suit. I would have to have some kind of clothing on. I think it hels to warm your body up also. I have thought about doing it before but I am so scared that someone would see me doing that. I hate the way my body looks now.

That's GOOD that you hate the way your body looks now because then you'll appreciate it more when it improves! Annie

Please believe that I have a hard enough time working up the gumption to work out as it is...being naked would not help the cause. Now if I looked like one of those supermodels then yeah, no problem but then if I looked like one of them who wouldn't want to exercise naked or be around when I was? Nope, I'll stick with private and clothed. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Sorry, but I will have to pass on doing that! I would knock myself out! You should always exercise in comfortable and supportive clothing. Your birthday suit may be comfortable, but as we age it isn't too supportive.

I would at least have to wear a bra, other than that, I'm game. Maybe next week.

I don't think I am brave enough to accept your challenge. I might scare myself too bad.
