which is or were the best years of your life, was it a happy childhood, wonderful adolescence, young adulthood, marriage and children, productive working years or retirement to look back at my life I don't every remember being really happy. there was always something to stop me. I would say that I am looking forward to retirement as I truly see this as being the best years of my life, I will hopefuly be better off financially and look toward spending time with my boyfriend what are or will be your best years please give an example

My best years? This year and next year and the year after that... To me, the best is always yet to come. Oh, I've had good years (and bad ones), but I always look forward to the future.

I would count today, in my productive learning and earning years, to be my best years. I count it as the best not only because it is what it current but it where I am learning the best things in life to prepare me in the future. I know I will have more challenges or opportunities ahead of me but I count this time as the best because it will lead me to learning and having the good tools to go beyond.

I have not yet reached retirement but I can definitely says that childhood, adolescence, young adulthood, marriage and productive working years were never the best years in my life. I can't say I was happy in any of them either but they were all interesting and exciting times. I think that the best time to enjoy life is now, because you can't live in the past or the future. I feel sure I have some good times ahead of me and I think possibly the best years of my life are still to come.

Well im only 24 so I have (hopefully ) many years to come but so far these years are the best since I was 19 and was pregnant with my first daughter since then things have only got better with having our second daughter and fingers crossed will get better when in a couple of years we have our third child, having a family was all I ever wanted so being able to do it makes these years very special and precious to me so of course im happy.

I don't know which is the best years of my life. Because I'm young now. Until now, I think the best year of my life is the childhood.

Umm, like you I haven't really been happy I have been to busy focusing on trying to make everyone else happy and I have let things go about myself that I shouldn't because that just made me that much more unhappier. I had a few months like 2 that I was happiest is when my husband and I moved to Ohio away from his family and he was totally different and more loving and we got along better and we became really close. But then his mom called said she was dying(which she did less then months later) and wanted him home. So for 3 months I had him to myself but we ended up moving back to Kentucky where we have been ever since. And he went back to his old ways sadly. I am hoping that maybe my happy years will lay ahead. Hopefully.

hi winterose! what could be stopping you from being truly happy? that is just so sad. i think you should always go all out on things. i mean, do everything with your best to make you happy and not regret a thing in the end. the best years of my life are during college. i was free then because i was going to a school far from home. i was living independently even though my mother sends me allowance. i had great friends there from all different parts of the country and even though we were different, we managed to get along well and we had the same view on having fun while studying. i enjoyed all my extra curricular activities, i had an awesome night life, i had a good boyfriend, and while having fun, i still manage to graduate on time! and then, i was also able to go to a lot of beautiful places, particularly tourism spots here in the country. and i experienced things for the first time which i think i wouldn't experience again. those four years are really the best in my life. so far.

Wow winterose, you can come up with some good ones, some that really take some digging in the mind. haha As for me I don't think I can pick from any. I have had both good and bad times from each event in my years. As a young child I had so many happy times then my parents got divorced and that was a really bad time. I got married at the age of 18 so my young adulthood was both happy and then sad when my dad passed away when my children were young, so there again, the good and the bad. I think with me I am scared to really let all the happiness in since it seems like when I do feel really happy something bad happens to put a halt to it all. I do envy those people who can be happy all the time.

Hi Winterose. I can say I have a nice childhood and a happy one blessed complete with my family growing with my siblings and my mom and dad. Add that up to a close knit family of cousins, aunts, grandmas and grandpas on both my father and mothers side. I also consider having a son is also a happy one but I still have not found the man of my life and hopefully live a fulfilled live with a loving family of my own and financially stable at that. I am hoping for that but if not, having my son to be with than being single is worthy enough and I could not ask for more as I have many blessings to count in each episode of my life be it happy or in trials of challenging as I call it. Live a happy life and count your blessings as I say. Cheers!

Hmmm...good one! I guess it's a toss up between my childhood, my years between 16 and 19 and now but you're right in these years, there was always something that put a damper on my happiness and one time or another but I don't think anyone can say that they have ever been 100% in life. If they can, please, I want to know their secret LOL...

Retirement will be the best years, as we will be able to travel. We have saved money to be able to have fun and not worry about how to pay for things. Our daughters are grown and doing well now, so looking forward to retirement in 2 years. The next two years I will be writing to give my daughter help with college, so the time will go by quickly. They grew so fast and the years really went quick.

I guess the best years of my life was when I was in high school. I don't think anything can beat that time in my life. That was the time when I was with friends that have stayed with me for the rest of my life and they gave me experiences that would shape the way I look at life and how I should act as a person.

I think I am living my best years now and the reason for this is that even as a child I always wanted to live near the sea and eight years ago I finally managed the move from a built up area of the country near London to live in Devon with the sea a short walk away. I am happier here than I have ever been and it always gave my older children an easier less stressful way of life to finish their education. The area is relatively crime free which is wonderful too, even though like anywhere bad things happen, but one week the worst thing that had happened was someone stealing a sandwich from a local store. Peace. I am also looking forward to many more years living here. Ellie :D

I do not think that I have had the best years of my life yet, I think that is what I am working for at the moment. My childhood was spent with much time on my own, my parents were always working and I was an only child, I did not enjoy being a child really and then things just spiraled when I left home and I just ended up in one scrape after another, now I am at the point where I am settled and have had all the children that I am going to have and so now I guess I am just working towards a time where it all falls into place and I know which direction I am headed. Like you I look back at the minute and do not see a time that I have ever been truly happy, but I am pretty sure that in the future that time will come.
