OMG, that is awful. That infuriates me how people can do such things, invasion of privacy and theft. I hope they did not take too much on your credit card. Are you able to find out who and get reimbursed with the money. It has not happened to me, but last year the same thing happened to my mum, her credit card had $5000 on it and they took that. I think they were able to trace the money and find out who did it. I am pretty sure she got money back , i will have to ask her again. My advice is be careful when opening emails as that is how they hacked her computer by opening some strange email. So anything you don't know in your inbox just don't touch it. What is Mal warrior? Keep me updated, I hope you are able to get your laptop fixed and get your money back.

hi kiran-its been awful but blame myself for downloadong the alert-if you look on icyorchids profile she did a discussion on Mal Warrior and it was only after i had downloaded it that i read her message and realised what i had done!! Mal warrior is a hacker and has got into a lot of peoples comps over here a friend is helping me out to get rid of the thing-problem is it seemed so legit at the time-my credit caard has been cleaned out and have nothing on there now-have reported it to my credit card and they have passed it on to the fraud dept' hopefully it should be refunded-how long it will take is anybodys guess' will be exra wary now of all emails and sites even bux.to etc-have unsubcribed to other sites apart from that one and bux3 but am wary of that one even will keep you informed-blessings to you all litteowl

Thanks for letting me know about mal warrior I will make sure I stay away from it. I really hope things sort out quickly for you, you don't deserve this. I understand now why you would be weary of emails and other sites, it is a shame that this has happened and now you can't trust anything on the net. Take care my friend, I am so sorry to hear such horrible news.

I have never had this happen to me, thank God. I never download anything that I do not know where it came from. that is awful what they did to your credit card also. You have to be so careful because things like this will lose your identity and cause alot of major problems in your life.

Hi steph..thanks for your advice..since that happened though I've not downloaded anything or bought anything te whole experience taught me a valuable lesson and since then things have been alright. The virus that got into my computer was Mal Warrior..I think it was either pyewacket or icyorchid that brought this virus up in a dicussion after I had innocently downloaded it..now I have a really good anti-virus and the full version not the free one..littleowl

I have seen those things pop up before but thank goodness someone told me long ago not to open them. I'm glad I listened. I think the people who make those programs should be jailed for life. They are a menace and a big threat to everyone. I'm sorry to hear you went through that.

That's awful. I've never heard the term "mal warrior", I assume it's some new & worse form of spyware? Hope that your machine is fixed soon.

You should be careful especially when you are connected to the internet. There are vast of users out there that has access to the internet. Both good and bad users. So you better be equipped with softwares that would protect you from the harms of the internet. You should not give out any of your credit card details also. It is very dangerous.

Oh Littleowl, you mentioned this to me the other day I didn't realise thats what you meant when you were saying about your credit card, I thought you meant the cost of the repair had maxed it out so to speak. I have never experienced this, thankfully. Poor you. I hope you get your laptop back soon without to much cost to you and that the insurance will cover the card situation. The only time I had something not good happen re my debit card was a company took £7 which I said was ok for them to do and the following month they suddenly took £77 without my permission, I was unable to contact them and told my bank, they put in a dispute changed my card details immediately and got my money back. This is why I always use paypal of something as secure now when purchasing online. Big hugs, I hope you not feeling too down over it all. Ellie :D
