What's your STORY behind this MYLOT STAR RATING???

Well I started mylot on March 31, so its almost 2 weeks and was going slow at it and then decided to reach 100 like you..When that happened i had a 9 star..I'm doing more discussions and commenting to all, and rating everyone positive and now yesterday it went to a 10. Love it here!

My star is a 9, it has always been a 9 LOL It hasn't moved at all. I don't see that as a bad thing either.

If your rating is higher does that mean you earn more? Thanks.

I guess we all start having a star rating of 3 when we get into our 100th post. But then, I've seen users having a star rating of 10 with only about 150 posts. Mine's still 5. I know it's up to the other MyLot users to increase or decrease that star rating, so I will just let it be. Hopefully in time my star rating will be as high as yours, too!

I am new to this site but I almost always give a positive rating to anyone who responds to a discussion. :D I only refuse to rate when I really don't like the response. But I never give negative ratings. I don't know if anyone has rated any of my responses yet...

when star rating available for the first time i got 7 in my star rating and the day after it became 8 in my star rating and raised up to 9. after that i was inactive for few month while my star rating still on 9 mark. i am not sure about my star rating points at that moment. now i still have 9 in my star rating but i seen fluctuation in my star rating points. just wonder when i will able to get blue star then

well when they put the star on here I had a 9 now am a 10 dont know how I did it for I dont pay attention much to them for I am to busy posting and responding.

When I reached my 100th post I had a 6. It was a bit discouraging as I saw other mylotters with higher star ratings and I had wanted a higher numbered star too. LOL At that time I didn't understand why it was only a 6 as I never offended anyone, at least not to my knowledge, and I would reply to discussions honestly. As time went by I noticed it would slowly rise a few points and then the next day it would drop a point or 2. It was this way for a few months until I finally got my 10 star. I know this star system has it flaws with some people rating others negatively just because they don't agree with what that person said, which isn't right, but I still like having the star, though instead of the users rating us it should be the admin instead. Maybe all of us would have a better chance at being rated fairly, if it were this way. Just a thought!

When i reached the 100 post my rating was 91 points and i was in the red star, and slowly it got improved to 94 points and i was very much eager in getting one more point to 95 , as that would fetch me a blue star, and in the process i lost control of the quality of posts, where i started to post too much of links in money making programs, only to find my rating plunging to 91 points again.. Then i decided to make a steady progress and by now i am in 10 star, with 96 points.. Hope that i will keep it intact. Take care friend.

Hello there mnsrwt123, this is a good discussion indeed. I started out with my star rating of 7 and I was a bit disappointed but still happy nevertheless because I love to answer friends' discussions and all that. But after some time, I got involved in more discussions and I saw my star rating increasing and from a 7, I went over to a 9. I was very jubilant about that and I would like to thank all those who have rated me with a +. Thank you so much, and I will rate all discussions that I answered as a +, because I love to answer nice and positive discussions such as yours. As well as a motivating one. When I first got to 100 and received my first star mine was number three too but I didn't understand what it meant then and was just really pleased to have got a star and it has gradually crept up to a 10 to which with more understanding I am really pleased about. I can't remember the fluctuations if there were any. Just love being on here and sharing my thoughts with people and they with me. Ellie :D

my star were always fluctuate before. but when i know about the ratings i tried to improved my comments and discussions so i made it to 10 blue star now. my ratings drop to 9 red star week ago i don't know why, but a day letter it back to 10 blue star again. everyday i am aware and careful of my post to let not happen any negative ratinngs.

Yesterday, my respond I have posted is 309. But today, when I posted, I saw my respond still 309. I can't understand

There is not much of a story for me, I always had a ten, it never went down always stayed there, and I have been on my lot for over a year now.

there has been ups and down. just like i am very disappointed today. when i first got star it was 7. then it was 8, 9. at 9 it stayed for about 5 months. them i got 10. today io see my reputation reduced from 97 to 96. i am down at most interest ratings.

I dont know one day I had a rating of four and then in a couple days it spiked to my current nine... and I have no idea why...

Yes, it pretty nice to remember and look back to see what worked and what did not work. I reached up 100 and I was amazed to see the red star. I managed to give more and share my little experiences everyday, bad days or good days. And even share good thoughts I learn from my daily conversations with my coach that relates to my everyday experiences. T'was a nice feeling when I reached up the blue star. As I went by with the blue star and learning upon the reputation thing, I looked up mine and was amazed to see 99 but whew, it went down to 96 at some point until I gained back to 98. Still, here at mylot, I am learning what works and what did not work because at some point in our life, it is what we also want to check, what is working makes our lives more better and we must also eliminate what didn't work or make it better.

hello, i joined mylot a month and a half ago and after 3 weeks (i think) i finally reached my 100 post and got 9 on it. i didnt expect it as i dont know how it works and i honestly dont care much about it. after 3 days of having 9 i got 10 and the highest i got so far is 97 but now i am 95, i wont be surprised if one day i will be 1 haha. it is just a number and that dont describe you as a poster here i think. you mention you are 10 but i just saw you 9, maybe when you read my post i am 1, who knows. anyway, just keep posting and having fun that is all that matters. takecare!
