Do you think new members really read the FAQS I want to know if you think

this as well. The question starts in a variety of ways "How do you make money on mylot" or "What are the best ways to earn" etc. etc. Or "How much is earned for pictures." You get the idea. I think the new people jump in and wonder later.I have answered several of these. Well, today I answered yet another of these inquiries. However, my 1st sentence read,"This can be found in mylots FAQs." Then went on to answer. Would you/have you done the same?

I took some time to review the FAQ. One problem is that the algorithm is secret so no one knows, really, how much you make per post or how the earnings are calculated.

Yes. I think some of them do but alot of new peoiple do not know anything about it. Some just do not want to take the time to read them either. I read them when I joined here but still had questions for the members here. I wanted to get my information first hand from them. I always answer these questions too because some of Mylot terms and conditions can be confusing and alot of people want to hear from other members who know first hand.

"some of Mylot terms and conditions can be confusing and alot of people want to hear from other members who know first hand" And I have no problem with that kind of thing. If they are confused about something in the FAQS, TOS, or guidelines, that shows that they read them first before asking. It's just the ones who obviously didn't bother to even try to understand how the site works.

In my own personal encounters with newbies and other older members, I don't think that they do read it and understood what those FAQ's and guidelines are for. I am still seeing discussions like that of what you've stated, then and up until now. In a way, I don't consider it as something to worry about. but I still, it would be a breather if they would offer sometime to read it. The one's I am totally annoyed at though, are those that still violates the guidelines even if you've already told them what to DO and NOT to DO here..

i have doubt regarding this.i think some may still manage to read, but most of them do not read it.yes, i have also seen these questions very often there. it means most of them do not read at all.

dear subha12 I think you are right , before joining any site nobody is concerned about FAQ. But before joining any site members should read about FAQ from where he can know about the site, no, of members , payment method, genuineness of the site, payment proof etc. and after that one should join in the site. It is true that most of the members do not read the FAQ. In my case Whenever I join any site I read forum and FAQ to know the details . pkc3000

I think that's the best way to handle those questions. I have done the same. I agree that many don't seem to read the FAQ's, how many times do we have to explain what the star is and how to get one?! I wish there was a way to make everyone read the FAQs before they start posting...or at least pretend to make them read by having one of those check boxes at the bottom of the FAQs page..."I agree to read and understand all FAQs before posting questions that will annoy veteran users".

Mooch- I know, and it is a good ice breaker but the same questions get asked repeatedly that can be found in FAQs and guidelines. And no, no one can be forced to read them but it would be nice if there was more effort made at the time of sign up to impress upon them how important it is to read them. raz-That would be a funny guideline LOL...I'm guessing that none of us would have lasted long if that was in place!

i guess we the new comers don't give a dem to checking the FAQ which i think is one of the besic step to know where you are headingto.for me today is my first time here and the first thing i did was registerin the checkin the faq to know more but still i have to ask old member ,cos when you ask new member they give you more detail.just give it a try.

I always refer people to the guidelines and FAQ. They should read it before signing up anyway.

I think most of them yes. I, myself read teh FAQs of a website before start doing anything. It's like the manual of a new device you just bought. And besides it's more reliable because it's made by the administrator of the website. Unlike if you just search in some engines how this website works, It might lead you wrong.

I think so. When I was a new here, I really read everything since it's my first time to encounter such site that pays members through posting discussions. I was so curious that time. New members and even the old ones should all read the rules and the FAQS every now and then to be well guided.

When I first joined I did not read the FAQS and I still haven't read the FAQS. I learned what I needed by reading posts. Mostly I just jumped in and started responding to discussions that I found interesting. And that is what I still do. I have participated in many very interesting discussion, have learned a little bit about how my lot operates and seem to be earning a bit. I have discovered for instance that if I write really long responses to a discussion that my "income" increases faster, than if I write really short responses to the discussion. But then, I guess, because I a mostly very cynical, that I don't expect to be able to earn a lot by participating on myLot, so I figure it is best just to have a good time. And I must say, myLot is the most enjoyable of the social networking sites that I have found. I think the premise that you don't have to a personal relationship to get involved in the discussions helps a lot.

Really with myself being a Newbie on mylot, it would be great to get some insight on the important things to remember and what exactly helps you to earn money and how long does it really take a substantial amount. I am still a bit confused on alot of things here like, navigation. It would be much better for some of us ot hear it from someone who has been here for awhile.

good day. i'm new here in mylot and like in the other sites that i join, i make it a point to read the terms and agreements and faqs. however, i've asked those same questions to my friend who invited me here. good thing that he was able to answer these well. this morning we had a chance to chat and i found myself sking the same questions. i guess if you were to invite somebody here, it'll be nice to explain to your invitee how mylot works. if i were in your shoes, i'd definitely do the same. answerign the questions from newbies is a way to help them but pointing them to the right direction so that they can find out for themselves is a better way to help them in my opinion.

I think they dont really read at all.. Because they always have that newbie discussions and ask about the earnings i dont mind helping them but of course everything is hand fed already in the FAQS section of this site..

Yeah, it gets a little annoying to have to explain to people every day how the site works. I mean, if they aren't going to read the FAQ, they could at the very least do a search of Mylot using the search box at the top to see if anyone has posted about it before, that's part of what the keywords are for. All in all, I guess it's just easier for them to have the answers thrown at them, rather than try to find the answers themselves.

To be honest, when I was new here, I learned most of the information by asking others. It was beneficial because everyone actually earned more due to this. (I earned by starting the discussions with the questions, and other members earned money by responding with their answers and suggestions.) And, actually, after a couple weeks here, I then read the FAQs and learned much more, but those who answered my questions when I was a newbie were VERY helpful and I appreciated it.

I read them even now that I have been here alot...lol. I agree, I see alot of questions asked that are answered in the FAQs. Yes, if one tells them about that section, then they are aware and can look there in the future.
