Legendary Disney animator dies at age 95. Ollie Johnston worked on some of Disneys best loved features.Johnston worked as an assistant animator on "Snow White". He was especially proud of his work on "Bambi" and its classic scenes, including one depicting the heartbreaking death of Bambi's mother at the hands of a hunter. That scene has brought tears to the eyes of generations of young and old viewers. Who else loves these Disney classics? Guys an era has come to an end.

Animation as we knew it is a thing which has mostly faded from the big screen. Now, we have more computer animation like Ice Age and Toy Story. There is a degree of wistful nostalgia for old classic movies and the animation techniques. However, I think we are moving to a new 'era' where children's films are concerned and I don't expect to see many, if any, traditional animation movies in the future.

I love these Disney Classic movies also. I would get tears to my eyes watching Bambi also. I know that some of us do hunt but it is so sad when anyone loses a life due to someone else taking it from them.
