WOOHOO!!! Today's a Holiday for me!!!

Well, as any other CPA out there knows, today is a Holiday. WHEW!!! Tax season is over!!! I do love my job and I love what I do, so working long hours for a couple months out of the year is not that bad. It's just great to get back to normal :)
I wanted to sleep in today, but that didn't work. I thought about catching up on my cleaning - that can wait until the weekend. I'm going to take my mom to lunch and play some keno.
Then, tomorrow, it's time to deal with everyone we put on extension. I surely don't want to wait until October to try to finish some of these up!

Happy holiday to you. I am glad I am not on an extension. It is good to have a day to breahte, isn't it?

We don't have as many people on extension as we usually do because everyone wants to get their stimulus check next month. The funny thing is that a lot of our clients are doctors and lawyers so they make too much money and wont get a check. That really put a crunch into our schedule that we weren't expecting...

Yeah, I can imagine you have been pretty busy and glad that the tax season is over with for the moment. I have Friday off from work which I am glad about since I work a PRN job and those days are far and few in between.

Yes, I'm sure you cherish those days!! Enjoy! This weekend will be my first weekend off in about a month. Today was my first day off since before Easter. Whew, I'm tired!

Well you celebrate dont do any work for the day. I cant imagine your job my ex mother in law is a cpa and she had some crazy hours till the deadline i couldnt do it.

I bet it is a huge relieve for CPAs the day after the big day. Its amazing to me how many people wait until the last minute to handle such important business. I would pull my hair out if I didnt get that stuff done. It would make me sick to my stomach until I finished it. Have a day just for you and relax. You have earned it.

It is amazing how many people wait for the last minute. Of course, the last minute for us is anything after April 1st. But, there were people coming in and calling yesterday wanting to get their returns done. We put them on extension, needless to say.

yeah, I agree with you. Give yourself the holiday of a lifetime or at least a really good one. I know how hard it is to balance out those figures and compute all those numbers. I had an accounting subject in high school where they mad eus compute manually(without computers). Imagine, poring over those books one by one with jsut the aid of a calculator and a sharpened pencil with a really good eraser. So I might have an idea of what you might be expreinceing form work. I salute you in doing what you do and loving what you do. So go ahead, indulge yourself and make the most out of it.^_^

Yeah, I learned how to do it all by hand, too. And some of them we still have to do by hand - they're too complicated for the computer even! I do love it, and that is a blessing. But I'm sure gonna love doing nothing today!
