I have to say that this is one of my favorite songs of all time. The music of Simon and Garfunkel brings much joy to my ears everytime I hear one of their tunes. But, the Bridge Over Trouble Water brings warmth to my heart. I remember in my youth I would turn the knobs on my radio to find a station that may be playing the song. I could have listened to it over and over again. It still has that effect on me. Later in my life I was surprised when my daughter took interest in the music of Simon and Garfunkel. She has a lovely voice and was chosen to sing "Bridge Over Troubled Water" in her school's annual Pop's Concert. She and another classmate wowed the audience with their rendition of the tune. I wish I had a recording of her performance to play for you. Perhaps I can get her to one day record it. It is one I would cherish forever. Do you have a favorite Simon and Garfunkel tune?

I also love that song, to me that is the best of their songs. Too bad the school or some parent didn't record the concert and you could get a copy from them. My daughter was number one chair in region in choir and we were able to buy copies of the regionals. She has also gone to local recording studios around and made some tapes. I need to have them put on CD's now. I sure hope you can get a recording of your daughter singing that song and I really hope there is some way we can also hear her.

I will have to check with the school's music director and see if there was a recording made of the concert.

I love this song too. It makes me cry sometimes when I listen to it. I think my whole life is based on parts of this song too. It is one big bridge over alot of troubled water. I guess that would have to be one of my favorite songs from Simon and Garfunkel also.

I have always enjoyed "Bridge Over Troubled Water" as well. It is an awesome song, and I am surprized it is not still played more today or sung more today than it is. To me this song tells a lot about life as a whole. Overall, this would have to be my favorite one by them but they do have other greats as well.

I love Simon and Garfunkel. Their harmonies have never been matched. They did in the age before digital messing with the music. It was them and a small studio band. Just beautiful.

I love all Simon and Garfunkel's music...lol I could listen to Bridge Over Troubled Water and Scarborough Fair endlessly. I think their music is so peaceful you can just get lost in it. I hope you get a recording of your daughter it would make a great keepsake. Brightest Blessings, Mari

Since I first heard it, I've always love The Sound of Silence. I went to a Catholic school, and in the early 60's the nuns were trying to get the kids more interested in going to church, so they came up with a guitar Mass. The Sound of Silence was one of the songs they used to sing. They did a pretty good job, singing and playing guitar. Of course, I preferred hearing the Simon and Garfunkel version.

I actually find this song a peaceful one that is very easy on the ear. I have songs that affect me and especially ones that I can relate to something that has happened in the past. And now having had your daughter perform this tune (your favorite) is rather nice. Great tastes you both share. I cannot think of a tune to this couple but as the day goes on I am sure one will hit me!

This song has been one of my most favorite ever since I was in high school. The lyrics speak deep to my heart and it gives me inspiration as well. It's good your daughter has an angelic voice and prefers to sing old songs like this one. Maybe you can record her and put her on youtube so we all can see and listen. Best regards!

It is hard to find a S&G song that I don't like. But I think Bridge over Trouble Water is up there, maybe #2 beat only by The Sounds of Silence. Look for America has to be tied for #3 with Homeward Bound.

I love Simon & Garfunkle, and especially the soundtrack from "The Graduate". My favorite S & G song is probably "The Sound of Silence". You just got me to thinking about them- so I'm now listening to "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover", which is just a Paul Simon song but it reminds me of S&G and the 70's.

This is such an amazing song. I haven't listened to any Simon and Garfunkel in a very long time. I should really download some for inspiration. One of my favourites is their, Sounds Of Silence, but actually I can't think of any I don't like. I'd love to be able to hear your daughter singing this. The two of you have beautiful voices.

I like so many Simon and Garfunkels songs. Homeward Bound. The Sound of Silence. Old Friends - that one always makes me want to cry. I had the original Bridge Over Troubled Waters album and I used to play it over many times. I knew all the words by heart.

I too like the music of simon and garfunkel. I like bridge over troubled water, the sound of silence, el condor pasa, scarborough fair, old friends, a hazy shade of winter, he was my brother, I am a rock, mrs. robinson. I listened to some of the songs on the radio and bought a two disc album of their greatest songs(my mom bought it for me for my birthday). When you'll have a recording of your doughter singing the songs I would like to hear it.

I have a CD collection of all their five studio albums (from Wednesday Morning 3AM to Bridge Over Troubled Water). I also have a DVD of their Old Friends Tour in 2004. These show that I am an S&G fanatic. There are just too many songs of these two that are equally superb. My faves would be "Sounds of Silence, Mrs. Robinson, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Old Friends/Bookends Theme, Scarborough Fair/Canticle, Song for the Asking, Overs, Homeward Bound, and For Emily Whenever I May Find Her". These guys are legends! Too bad Artie's voice has deteriorated much unlike Paul's (whose voice got better with age).
