I prefer sending messages Well, according to a study,it seems the excessive use of cell phones affects the brain because of the waves. When we send SMS,the effect is very much reduced. A banner read, ======== Pain your fingers, rather than risk your head ======== So,try to send mostly through SMS,and use phone calls only for lengthy conversations or only for confidential matter. Cheers ! Good day to you Happy sending messages

Ya ,its true..for past many years we have been hearing such news in paper or news channels...using handsfree also reduces the effect it seems... but then again they said that it doesnt effect...so the theory is very controversial...anyway thanks for sharing the info... its is a good way to save the pocket also though!!!

I always want to use sms service instead of calling because it costs more than sms and for confirming that sms has been sent or not i wrote in the text that reply me or give me miss call after getting my message:)

I will always prefer a phone call from a friend. I like voices and hearing laughter. But, if some info is being sent like "meet me at 7", then a text message is fine.

i don't mind both, depending on the person i'm talking to- i might either sms or just call them straight. for me here i think calls made during off-peak hours are definitely cheaper so i dont mind making a call. it depends i think. if you're going to have a "long" conversation with the person you're communicating with and there's many info to be told then it's best to get the message across by a phone call.

guess it really depends on the situation. if it's just to chat, SMSing is good enough. however, if we are trying to arrange something, i'd rather call instead of sending messages back forth back forth. also, the situation i'm in will decide what i do. i definitely can't make calls during meetings so i can only send messages. noisy environments also force me to send messages as i totally cannot stand talking loudly in public.

I prefer messaging than calling, just for one simple reason, that message could be read at any time. If it is an emergency or if I need that information immediatly, I make a call. Other wise if I just want to convey some message, I type and send it to them as a text message. I know that they will definitely read and respond though not immediatly but atleast before the end of the day.

cellphone - communication
It depend on the situation like i need a quick response or emergency situation. On the contrary in my side, i like texting as this is time consumable even long conversation. But as i said, if i need a quick response, i prefer calls as i didn't know if that cellphone receive my calls or not for the reason of low battery or no signal. If not i like texting and ofcourse depend also on my mood, because there are really time that i feel lazy to do even a dingle reply.
