Do you dream when you're asleep?

I have dreams every night. I don't always remember them but I know I dream. I also know that people don't have dreams every night, but my husband claims that he never dreams, ever! I find that really hard to believe. Do you dream or are you like my husband and claim never to dream? What do you dream about most often? Unfortunately for me the thing I dream most often about is family members dieing. I know it's morbid but I think subconsciously my mind is just trying to prepare me for when it does happen. Because until now no one I've been close to has died.

When I use my mind thinking about one thing, I usually dream about that thing. I sometimes dreams at night. When I dream nightmare I usually scream and my mother get me up because she is too panic-stricken.

I sometimes have dreams at night. Sometimes my dream seem to come to the truth but sometimes don't. I think when I use my mind too much, I always have dream about that.

First of all, if your husband never dreams, he would be a medical anomoly. If you don't dream you don't enter REM sleep, if you don't enter REM sleep ever you go insane. I'm serious, not entering REM sleep for four days is reason to get away with killing someone in fourteen states due to sleep deprivation. As youre still alive, I don't think this is the case. I just think that perhaps he doesn't remember his dreams.

It's got to be that he just doesn't remember, because he definatly enters REM sleep, because once he out there's no waking him.

I dream all the time. I will be the first one to admit it. My dreams all have a meaning and a purpose. The of course though, everyonce in a while i get a dream that has no meaning but is good anyways. My dreams can either be the way i find out things before they happen or they can be hot and steamy and leave me wondering, is that really gonna happen this time

I was really curious about the meaning of my dreams so I bought "Dream dictionary". It helped me understand my dreams better. Some meanings indicated in the dictionary are true based on my experience too. I also agree with the other interpretations. Some also helped me ease my anxiety about what my dreams would imply.

I dream now and then, but not every night. Sometimes I remember my dreams, other times I don't. Sometimes my dreams are affected by whateer is playing on the radio in the backgorund. It's really strange when that happens.

When i am asleep i sure will dream and am a constand dreamer. Some times i do take a nap in the afternoon for some relaxation and even then i get dreams. There are very rare occassions when i wont dream. Though i dont remember the dreams, some times i wish the dreams continued even after my sleep was interrupted.

Everyone dreams when they sleep (when they reach natural states of REM sleep or just sleep, though the latter can result in a chance of not having dreams). Everytime I sleep I do dream, but I've had problems remembering them.

yeah i will but not so often. I dream only if i am very tired. My mind is not relax it's always working. Most of my dreams is about witched and sometimes about evil people who wants to influence me on their work. Lately, seems i don't have dreams anymore because i not tires of anything, classes has passed no worries, no pressure of exams and project. It's my relax time.

Like a lot of people have stated, I am also a constant dreamer. Every single night I have a series of strange dreams, some of which are great and colourful, but others sadly are quite frightening and I wake with quite a sweat, and that horrible heavy feeling in your stomach. As I've posted on another thread, I also can lucid dream sometimes, and this is great too! It must be horrible for you to dream about family members' deaths, I have had similar dreams, perhaps it's a loss of control feeling in your subconsious? I have read in online articles and such that a lot of nightmares simply stem from a feeling of loss of control. Happy dreaming to all!

i too get dreams every time i am asleep but i donot remember all of them. Usually my dreams will be wierd only there will not be any connection or relativity. I feel getting dreams all the time is good becaues ur mind will not be in rest even when you sleep.

i always tend to dream just before i wake up in the morning (i think, these are the ones that i remember) but i tend to dream about whats going on in my life..like for instance - i was reading a book about hiroshima (the bomb dropping and how 6 people survived) and i dreamt that it happened here...kinda scary!

Dear friend, I do dream most of days and rarely I do not have dreams. Most of time when I wake up I forget those dreams some dreams I do remember. Some times I would sleep more in order to continue that good dreams but it is really irritating if some one calls me when I am having a good dream.

Your husband is wrong. He dreams; everybody does. If we don't dream, we lose our mental stability and become mentally ill. He just doesn't remember his dreams. I remember mine, but I lose the details fairly rapidly. Lately, in my dreams I am promoting books all the time. Since that's what I think about when I'm awake, it's pretty much 24/7 at this point, I guess.

I was just talking to my hubby about this today!! Lately I have been having dreams every single night. I find that the most I dream about is my husband cheating on me, a family member or friend dying, and I often dream about people that I used to hang out with in high school and college. I believe that dreams mean alot! I know I have a huge insecurity about my husband cheating on my, and I also think that I dream about my past because I miss having my freedom. I love my family but being a SAHM of 3 can be exhuasting. As far as the family and friends who die, it is probably in a way me feeling like I need to let them know that I love them more, in case something ever happened to them.

when i took up my psychology subject, it was discussed there that everybody dreams. usually dreams happen in a certain level of sleep, i think its REM stage but its not the only stage that dreams happens. people tend to dream but when they woke up they don't remember the complete details or none at all. for you to remember your dream, at least its fragments, you should wrote everything that you remember in a piece of paper the moment you wake up.
