Life sometimes is overwhemning and it drives people to do the unexpected-There was this woman in my neigborhood, vry well educated, and actually rich by Ugandan standards! They built their wealth together with her husband, but she really was the brain behind the wealth, although credit was going to the man, suddenly she started an act of self sabotage, destroying every semblence of success she put in the family business until everything collapsed in our very eyes-reason, the man was using the family wealth to amass women, Have you Ever subjected youself to or seen a case of Self Sabotage in your neighborhood?

I have seen self sabotage upclose. A friend of mine came into some money. At the beginning she was doing okay. SHe had purchased a new expensive car but she works hard so she deserved it. Towards the end she would begin buying things that other people said they wanted just so she could be better than or say that she has things. I dont think that coming into so much money so fast was a positive thing for her. She began to do things that you know as a friend are done on purpose. I think she was actually crying for help. No one heard so she sabotaged her finances to get attention. ALot of people that sabotage themselves do it for attention or instead of asking for help. As soon as all the money was gone she realized what she had done. Now she has to live with it. Self sabotage is a choice. As with everything choices have consequences. dl

Thanks for voting me best response. It feels great to know that somebody regards my thoughts as important. So many times in life we are overlooked. What a special thing to be recognized by my peers. Thanks again. dl

I have never seen such a person in our community. I think that it is a bad idea to start an act of destroying their hard-earned success like that. I am sure that she will repent of it later on when she does not have enough money to spend. I know that it is out of her husband's amassing women that made her do so, but it is not worth it doing this way. I am really so sorry for the family and their business.

It is true Sir William, you do some self destruction that will cost you later, and like you say, you stand to regret!

Yes. I used to sabbotage myself verbally, mentally and physically. I thought that I was worth nothing and could do nothing right. It was the people and the things that happened in my life at the time, that made me feel like that and do those things. I now know my self worth and I am trying to build up my self-esteem.
