I am so happy, I lost a pound from last week! I still weigh a half pound more than I did at the dr's office on April 3rd, but I was up by 1.5 pounds last week and I got rid of 1 pound! YEAH :) I am so proud of myself. lol I think that site I posted about my-calorie-counter.com is really helping me. I told my sister I blew my diet last night because we went to Wal-Mart and my feet would not walk past the Strawberries and Angelfood cake. lol She was laughing and then told me that Angelfood cake is the better choice of sweet when you are dieting, so I did good So I don't feel so bad now. I have been walking 15 - 20 minutes every night, and trying to get up and do a little more around the house if my back lets me, so I think that all helped. Thanks for all the support I got last week, it really meant a lot to me ~Icy~

Thank you Y. Hubby has the time limit on my walks. lol He walks with me, sometimes he doesn't feel like long walks, but a walk around a complete block is 10 minutes, so if that's all we do one night, that's fine with me, we make up for it the next day or 2.

Well done that's great! I know from experience just how tough losing weight is, so I admire anyone who sheds a few pounds. I find that my problem regarding shifting my extra weight is not getting enough exercise, I'm just not an athlete..

Well done, it feels great doesn't it? You did well and also remember something else, if you really want something on your "forbidden" list, PLAN for it.. once a week will not do anything to you as long as you get back into it immediately. If you feel deprived it will just depress you and your better lifestyle could end up going down in the long run. A little piece of Angelfood cake will not do anything to your weight loss.. unless you ate all of it and for more than one day :)

Thank you I am very excited about it and satisfied that the way I am eating is finally helping me loose. lol I gave up every fattening food I liked to do this. lol That was not all that easy to do either. Someone in the house is not on a diet, so he can have the chips and pop tarts, etc. lol

Congratulations.....I can tell you something that will help you. I just started a diet about 2 weeks ago. I have lost 8 pounds so far. If I work in the morning then I eat a bowl of special k when I get there. I have lunch at my work too. I work at a greek place so there is really nothing too healthy there. So for lunch I normally have a cheeseburger or a sub and subsitute the fries for sauteed veggies. So that cut out my greasy fries and the ketchup that I dip them in. But the catch is beforeI eat I put half my sandwich in a togo box. I take that home for someone else to eat. If i work at night I wake up later so I skip breakfast and just eat half of something at work. i do not really exercise. I learned how to do that souljaboy dance and I do that sometimes, that is a work out. Lol. Hope this helps some.

Congratulations! I am inspired by your post. I have recently joined or enroled in a gym and I'm looking forward to lose some unwanted fats. Basically, I walk about 15 minutes to the gym, cycle 5 minutes, stomach crunch 15 counts, and other leg exercise. I don't use the tread mill because my instructor didn't include that one. I hope to get good results soon like you.

That is greta to hear. I sure wish I could lose some punds also. I try to watch what and how much I eat, but alot of times, it just cannot be helped. I have a bad habit of feeding my nerves alot of times.

Congrats. Well done. I know that it is hard to loose wieght. I have lost 30 lbs myself and it was not easy. I was put on medication for anxiety and didn't help my wieght at all. When I went off of the medication I lost 7 lbs just by going off of it and doing nothing else (like exercising or trying to diet). So when I saw that I had lost 7 lbs I was motivated to try and loose more. So far I have lost a total of 30 but that has been a while ago. I am back to trying to lose some more. I also used to be 120 lbs. I have a treadmill and one thing that really helped me was motivation and to exercise on that treadmill every day or to dance (a fun way to exercise). I am still trying to loose some and it is really hard. I think I need to focus on not so many sweets lol. I overeat, but mostly I am very inactive so it would be a good idea for me to start walking also. CONGRATS TO ICY! lol.

Thank you o2bnocn, I am a sweet eater too, so that is one of the things I had to get out of my house. lol I still get it for hubby, but I don't go to where they are so I don't want to eat them. lol I need a treadmill, but there is no place for me to put it in this trailer :( I hope we move soon.........I am getting depressed about a lot of things in my personal life and well, I wish I could leave for a long time.

Well done icy, see you can do it. Every little pound or half a pound in the right direction helps. Mine seem to be piling on and on. Oh well, I know I have to go out there and do more exercise, drink and eat less.... but I don't want to be too boring and I like to enjoy myself. Keep it up and keep us updated on how it is going.

good for you! my goal is to gain at least a pound. my doctor say that i'm malnourish. for my age and height, my weight does not correspond with such. before, i used to say i have fast metabolism---yeah right, who am i kidding?! she (my doctor) also made a chart for the ideal diet (food and medicine intake plus exercise) for me... i jokingly said, 'many people want to get thin, why would i want to be fat?' she just grinned and said, 'my dear your body will deteriorate if you don't do the same...ok, that kept me quiet for a while...
