I'm going to buy you a gift

I have had quite a few men come into the store with the idea of buying their girlfriends or wives a gift. Well, since I work in the shoe department, I think a gift of shoes is a little unusual for a man to buy, but have quickly learned how commonplace it actually is. I had one fellow come in take pictures of several expensive shoes with his cell phone and then wait on a response from his girlfriend. Not a bad idea. Would you trust your mate to buy you shoes? Or if he or she was in the market to buy you a gift, what is it you'd like to receive?

Yeah I would trust my husband to buy me shoes. Because since we started courting until the day we got married he has been buying me shoes and is still buying me shoes. Funny one may think but practical in many ways. My husband has good choice. He buys me shoes that are branded while on offer and they last. Wise eh!!!! I am not a shoe person so I don't have many shoes in the shoe rack. I think my total is about 6 pairs that's all : (2 sports Reebok, 1 Reebok sandals, 1 scholl sandals - bought by my husband), 1 white sandals - my wedding shoe (custom made)

Haha, a good pair of shoes to me is 1 that's cheap, good quality & would last at least 5 years & up. You don't have many pairs of shoes? Or should I say you bought yourself some shoes that were not that lasting & had to be thrown away after a short while of wearing? Haha.

no because he does not have the same taste as I do, but he has gone with me to the shoe store and I picked out the shoes, and then he paid for them for me.

Well my adopted brother surprised me once buying me a pair of shoes. When he told me i was sceptical thinking it was not going to fit and I wouldnt like it becauuse a mans sense of taste in that manner would be wierd. I was absolutely wrong. My feet are small and believe me the shoes feet did fit and I really liked them. Since then I have more trust in a man purchasing such items for me. I love to be surprised and wouldnt limit their purchase to any one item unless its something I really wanted. (lol)

my honey has gotten my shoes before. not always my taste, but for the most part he does a good job. i like to be suprised. even if it is something that i don't like, i just like the fact he thought enough to go out and pick something he thought i would like or enjoy.

i tend to buy the gift with the accompany of my girlfriend,it is a hard process to pich up what exectly she needs.the best and efficient way is to learn the urgent need she has recently, especially ,the garment and shoes something like that, you should consider the size and style and fabric that you bought back home. in doing so,to make sure that the gift you bought is her desperate need and try on the shoes directly in the spot

My husband bought me two pairs of shoes for Christmas once. He spent way, way more than I have ever spent on a pair of shoes in my life. He was very proud of them and I do love them though. One pair was an all brown pair of Coach shoes and the other were the newest "before they were put on the shelf" Diesel shoes. He spent $300 on the Coach shoes and $100 on the Diesel ones. I have pretty much worn the Diesel ones out; but I don't wear the Coach ones if there is even the slightest chance of bad weather! Let me tell you, after I found out how much he spent...the thought crossed my mind to make him take them back! I didn't voice it though, he was so happy about them that I couldn't do it. And I didn't want him to think that I didn't like them because I really did/do! Anyway, I wear them but they still look brand new. We normally don't spend that kind of money but we get paid extra to PCS (move) and we moved a couple of days before Thanksgiving that year. Still, I was in shock!

I would not ever want anyone to buy shoes for me. I have a very difficult time finding shoes that are comfortable and need to try them on first. What I would like to receive are accessories. An interesting watch, hat, scarf or earrings would please me immensely.

I wouldn't want my husband to buy my shoes, there is no telling what he would bring home. Perfume is a good thing.

The idea of buying your girlfriend or wife a new pair of shoes seems really ineresting and unique. Most of the time men give flowers or perfume or chocolates. The first doesn't last long with me. I get a headache with the second. And the third is fattening. So I think if my husband were to give me a new pair of shoes I'd be very delighted. It would remind me of him everytime I wear them.

I have had this same experience. I worked in the shoe department at Walmart. I had to help men pick out shoes for thier girlfriends or wife. I think it is a sweet idea myself. As long as they know the correct size to buy for them.

Hello no way would I want my husband to buy me shoes not that I wouldn't appreciate it if he did and I would try to wear them in front of him a few times but his taste and mine or totally different in that department. He normally buys gifts that I do like but shoes I just don't know about. I hope your doing well and have a great day.

As a man that is currently in the market for a bra are you sure that some of them aren't buying for themselves! I have bought my daughter shoes without her being present - I received a major thumbs up for that. Not only did they fit, but they even were the right style and colours. Her friends were very impressed. I would love to buy my wife some shoes. But she has "difficult" feet, wide and short. So it is always safer to have her with me.

I know lots of men buy their partners shoes, I have never been bought a pair of shoes by my hubby though. I prefer to buy things like that for myself. If he was to say that he wanted to buy me a gift, I think I would either ask for underwear as I am in need of some, or some nice clothes, I could do with some of them as well!

Its sort of funny but every time my husband would ask me what I wanted as a gift he would instead buy me a huge box of really good chocolates. well now I did want some perfume but being a confirmed chocoholic how could i turn down the tempting aroma of really good chocolates so the chocolates did get eaten and I bought my own perfume thank you maam. lol
