Quality of subjects in threads

I am new to myLot, I have been posting here for only a short time and what attracted me was posting about cats, helping people. I got side tracked on different questions that I saw and have expanded my interests. I had no clue that there were monetary rewards and I know I can check out how it works but I really do not care about that. I post when I want about what I want.
I have noticed that many people here are all about earning money here. I am wondering if that is affecting the quality of the sujects that are posted. Some of the posts are so inane and ridiculous that it has really boggled my mind. Is it because people are just thinking of whatever they can think of no matter how silly it is to make money?
I just cannot believe how ridiculous these threads are and they must be there just to make money because they are so meaningless and only take up space. Is the quality of myLot going down just so someone can make money or say I made money. I am seeing posts that talk about people having or meeting goals. There are some right on the page I am using to type this new thread.
I have earned very little money and I am sure not here to make money. I am sincere in what I respond to, I give it thoughtful consideration. If I think the post is ridiculous I don't just post to it to make money. Maybe someone can let me know more about this, meaning the quality of posts.
So, right now I am NOT going to go and post a question about whether your mother stepped on cracks in the sidewalk when she was pregnant with you and do you think that is the reason you think you have been so unlucky all these years.

I agree, Zydeco, I've noticed that some people just post and post, but they never respond when you reply to their posts.
As I think you know, I also post about my cats alot, and when I accept a person as a friend, I check their profiles and if they say they are here about money and have few posts for being here for quite a while, I might accept them, but I tell them I don't want "PM's" about money making opportunities or I will delete them as friends.

I am here mainly for money and I am not going to lie about it. But that does not mean I will not participate in quality discussions just to make money. Yes money is an added bonus apart from interacting with people from different parts of the world.
BTW can you mark my post as positive so that I can earn more...:)

I have really been surprised at the responses here. I thought I might get flamed. I don't care if you are here to make money, I do care if you post stupid posts just to get money. I think it degrades the site as well as it degrades the answers that you give to legitimate posts where people are asking for real opinions/information/expertise in life.
So again, I am not going to go and post something like:
Did your mother give you a pacifier or did you suck your thumb and which one do you think made you smarter, an unanswerable questions.

Well actually don't mind to much of the quality stuff because it won't make you become a happy man or rich man , just answer as per you like will do yea . after all just treat mylot as a place to relax yea .

I've got to admit a friend brought me over since i never heard of this place because she knew i was a good commentor/poster..the money was a nice thing too!
I've been here 3 weeks and found out it was fun whether i posted to fun stuff or real questions.Its our choice to answer to what we want and there is no way i can answer every question since I'm not online alot, but for the time i'm here i try to meet new people and help them if they need and throw in a few laughs too.
