Hehe, I was just griping about the same thing. When I went to get groceries the other day I couldn't help but just stop and stare. This is ridiculous! Enough is enough! It wouldn't be so bad, but income levels are staying the same. I actually bought a bike so I don't have to use my car as often. My mom lives in a different town. I use to go see her like once a week, but now it's been over a month. Neither of us can really afford the drive.

Good for you buzzman! That is an awesome idea. I wish I had more time to take care of a garden. I was thinking over the weekend that I should do a few containers of tomatoes and peppers. Some add-ons for salads.

Hi Kareng, and thanks for your response. If you were thinking of doing a few containers. Did you ever think of useing a small wading pool. I did that about 2 years agao. I bought a small wading pool and filled it with potsoil. It was big enough to hold 6 tomatoe plants, and it worked great.

That's funny, what will we do ride a bike and go on a diet? Yes food and Gas are getting terribly expensive. If you don't have a good job, you are really in trouble.

Hi Marciascott, Thanks for your response. You are 100% right. It makes me wonder whats going to happen. They keep sending the US jobs go overseas. Then they want to rase the price of everything. Yes I know some that are rideing bikes to work now.

I wish I could start a garden, but I haven't got a patio and growing them indoors didn't really work. I know that food prices often rise because of the fact that it costs a lot of ship them to the stores. The price of diesel is much higher than the price of gas and most semis use diesel. Also, the price of running farm equipment also has gone up. So the two, food and gas, go hand in hand at least in the United States.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't know how that will work indoors as I live in a small apartment. Otherwise, it sounds good. I have no outdoor space at all, not even a patio to put a chair on.

Also, some of the foods, like tomatoes, attracted a lot of bugs. Some foods, like herbs, grow good inside.

Yeah, it seems like the cost of everything is going through the roof. I have been thinking of trying to grow some of my own vegetables, too. I think it would be a good way to save money, and also might taste better than the store bought stuff cause it would be fresher. You're right, I really wish there was a way to make our own gas!! That would become my new hobby, lol.

Hi, and thanks for your response. Yes if you grow your own vegetables not only would it help with cost through the summer. But you could put some in the freezer, and then you would have some in the winter. Yes they would tast better than store bought. They would be better for you also.

oh yes... tell me about it... the prices of groceries here are also getting ridiculously high... i can't believe how much everything had increased just in a short period of time... everytime i go grocery shopping, it seems that the prices are getting higher and higher... i don't know how to cope with it unless if we get higher salaries...

Hi Lingli, Thanks for your response. Yes the prices are getting higher all the time. It seams like every time we make a dollar, thats when they want a dollar, and 10 cents. It will soon get to where it will a sack of money to buy a smaller sack of groceries. Don't you think?

I work in a store that sells food. During the last week alone we have raised the prices about 15 cents on around 125 items. Milk is so high we have to cut back on what we use. That can lead t bone health trouble down the road. Thank goodness my daughter like Ramen noodles, and other pasta. It is a cheap food. She also will not eat meat, so that saves us some money. We also have to combine trips to save money. A co-worker and I are riding together when we can, even if it means one of us has to sit around for an hour or so before our shift starts. I have started letting my daughter come home when I am at work from time to time just to save on a babysitter so we can afford food, gas and the bills!

Hi Tammyr, and thanks for your response.I know what you maen i also carpool with two others that I work with. I sometimes have to set around and wait, on the other hand sometimes they have to set and wait. But it is worth it as much as gas cost these days.

Hi Busta 1 baby, Thanks for your response. Yes everything is going up except our income. If that is not bad enough for us,so they keep sending our jobs overseas. Where will it all end?
