Of course every religion on earth today believes they should increase and multiply by converting non believer but the question is who are the true believer's and what is expected of them...as a christian i believe to envagelise is the supreme task to win soul so do every other religious believer do.

Definitely not. I do not believe that all religions want others to convert to their belief. I know of only two(both have offshoots) that preach that way(you know which ones I'm talking about). Other than that, I don't think the earlier religions had that narrow mindedness. Each individual has a unique set of principles and ideals and each has their own 'religion' if you can call it that. I for one would never even try to convert another to what I believe. What works for me need not necessarily work for someone else. I just can't stand it when people put it in a way that says 'I am superior to you because I am going to be saved and you are going to rot in hell'. I am just not tolerant to anybody who can babble such nonsense. I believe there are people in all religions who have reached their goal and I will not insult any religion saying 'this will not work'. It depends on how the concerned individual uses his common sense and his spirituality to improve himself. So, I feel it depends on the individual himself/herself and not on the religion to reach the goal. The destination is the same whichever religion one follows. Only the way we reach it is different. It doesn't matter anyway so long as we reach it.

Do all religions believe that? No absolutely NOT...Pagans for one do NOT believe in converting others and actually its shunned..Buddhism is another that doesnt try to reel ppl in..Vodou is yet another..as is Native American Spirituality...In fact, thinking about it, I believe that the MAJORITY of the religions of the world DON'T do it..its just the more popular (for lack of a better word) ones that are big on it..Christians being the worst for it IMO..

I'm not really sure but I know in my religion, that I do not wish to convert others over to it. I think everyone should have the right to their own religion that they have chosen. Alot of people are raised differently and that is okay as long as they try to do right in the world.

Believe it or not, there are many religions in today's world that do not try and convert people because they actually respect people of other faiths or lack of.

Not all religions want true conversions to the true God. Many just want people to be a member of their religion. Only a true church will teach you to be converted to Christ who is the only Savior and living God. This kind of Church is an uncompromising church who will teach and preach the truth.
