A very popular part of Melbourne Australia is Brunswick Street, another place that hasn't changed very much over the yearsm it is a place now considered trendy, a very relaxed trendy, it has often been said it is a hippy haunt, with many cafe's and shops that sell alternative clothes and food, I used to spen a lot of time here hanging out in the various cafe's it was a little sad today to see the cafe's seem to have gone more gourmet and there prices are no longer what I consider reasonable as they used to be but it is still a very fascinating little street filled with colour, has anyone else been to Brunswick Street, if not if you are ever in melbourne this is a great place to spend an afternoon....

Thank you i love melbourne and I am not one to travel overseas and such, i feel Melbourne and Australia for that matter has a lot of beautiful spots but Brunswick Street has always been one of my favourites, i guess it could be the hippy coming out in me....

I have never been to Australia before. It does sound like a great place to visit though. I live in the U.S. and have never got to travel outside of it yet.

'Gentrification' and 'up-scaling'... its nice that things are being cared for, but they are also becoming so homogenized that the character disappears... there are many places like that around the small town I originally came from. Its sad to see the originality disappear.
