Come FEB 17, 2009 TV will be changing as we have it today. The signals will change from analog To High Definition TV. It is supposed to give us better clarity and detail. Are You getting tired of seeing the commercials for the switch from analog TV to HDTV. I get tired of seeing the banner across the TV almost every program that comes on. There is a commercial about every other program. I know we need to be informed about the switch but come on enough is enough. Please can't they just slowdown with the commercials and banners for it?

That is there way of saying go out and spend your money on a new tv that has hdtv.the commercials have to go.I am not sure how this thing is going to work but i will not go out and pay for anything until i see if my tv is going to still work with my directv.

Yes. I am tired of seeing the scroll bar at the bottom of the television screen. I already got my discount coupons for the analog dish but I don't think I will use them though. I may just buy a new tv because the old one will no longer be under warranty. I think they should only remind us once per month about the switch.

Oh mercy yes, I'm getting sick of seeing that crawler going across my screen too! You know, this whole change over is going to be one big pain in the tukkas. I have a couple of portable tvs, one I use in my garage and in areas of the house where there isn't any cable/sattelite. Those will be rendered useless! I also have an antennae outside where I can get all kinds of channels, I suppose that will be useless too?! I realize that I can get a 'box' to take care of my old tv in the living room, but geez, this is going to cost a lot of people a fortune! I agree, I think they could slow down a whole lot on the commercials and all, it's getting irritating to say the least!
