Why is it good to have friends of other races and cultures?

How about this - there is only one race, the human race. There are unique cultures and learning about them broadens our understanding of the human race and the world around us. It is very difficult to hate others once we have embraced them. I think that it is important for us to expand our horizons beyond where we are born, the culture we are born into, the religon we are brought up in. It is vital that we learn about others and extend the hand of friendship across the cultural barriers that exist today. In doing so we often find that we have more in common than not.

to develop harmony, to have peaceful earth and to enjoy life together

I might add that we fear what we do not know, and sometimes turn that fear to hate, or distrust. Knowing others spreads confidence that we are all in this boat together.

it is good to have friends all over the world because it widens your perception on things. it teaches you of the different cultures and diverse personalities. it makes you appreciate life more. it opens your eyes to the possibilities around you and makes you understand how we are all connected despite distance and differences of races. we realize that despite differences, we are all human beings who deserves love, care and respect which people must often consider when dealing with others.
