bad habits in public

Youre standing in line at a resturant, while waiting, you notice the gentleman in front of you picking his nose, what choice would you make: Ask him to stop, offer him a hankerchief, move to the back of the line, or leave the resturant completely? Or, if there is an option I omitted, please include that.

I can see the truth in that. I may not lose my appetite, but it would certainly affect it

I'd probably pretend that I didn't see him pick his nose but inside my head, I'll be saying ewwwww... Aside from that, I wouldn't accost him for doing that. It's a free country.. He can pick his nose anytime and anywhere he wants. It violates social etiquette but not the law. Though it'd be a different issue if it was a person working on the counter who was picking their nose.

LOL i just standing still if a am there, there no body will be happy because i give up my line. It is his right and his nose and his own hand. I mind my own business Unless he borrow my hand to pick his nose or his hand picking my nose. Now that, totally crazy. We'll be scared people behind our line away. lol Some one should put us on a camera and send it to the television.

Now that would get weird if he asked to borrow your hand to pick his nose. Thanks for the post and the laugh.

I would be totally grossed out but not leave. I would have to think if I would say something or not most likely not though for I know that it's none of my buisness what he is doing but knowing I was about to eat and knowing he might get offended I'd probably just turn my back and not look at nor say anything just to avoid confrontation.

I would just have to turn my back on him, because if I saw him doing it then I would not be hungry anymore, it is just horrible when people pick their nose in public, there is no need for it at all. My hubby is always up his nose and he does while he is talking to me and I cannot look at him it just turns my stomach.

The same problem i have faced last time but situation is different anyhow many well knows hotels people behaves in different way and they don't have sense also and they won't supply food on time and we need to wait for that one for a long time at the same some new people rush in to that one and they get the food and went way but we need to wait still their that is the big problem here.

In this crazy world you have to be careful what you say to strangers. I would turn away so I didn't see him acting in that awful way.

You know me Bubba...I would call the manager or waitress over while he is still there and in earshot and ask "Do you have a no nose picking section? That is ehere I want to be seated and if not I think the resturant down the road does!"

I would go to the back of the line. He would have to be completely out of my range of vision or else I would be in a gagfest. And it's quite possible I would have to leave the resturant. As I get older my gag reflex gets more sensitive.

This is a disgusting but unfortunately a situation that has happened for real, I'm sure jer31558. I would have to leave the restaurant completely. BUT before I go I would make a scene to embarass him so bad, he may never return to that restaurant. If he left then I would go on in. I can not tolerate something like this. There are too many bacteria stuck to that booger, "you don't even know!!!!" I have and will, stand up to people in public who are just plain stupid!!!

Do you think it possible that they would request that you not enter their resturant.

oops, I accidentally hit enter. What I meant to say is, do you think you may create enough commotion that you would get yourself thrown out of the restaurants?

If he was a worker in the restaurant, I'd definately leave. If he's a patron, I'd just ignore his filthy habits and stay away from him. It's too bad his momma didn't teach him better. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I would just ignore him,its his nose, and I do not'want to stand in line long as I have a bad leg. let him pick to his heart's contest. just as long as he does not'try to pick my nose. lol. sometimes in any line you see 'people doing things you may not like but you are not a police man so just ignore and let it go.

It depends, if i know the person i will tell him/her politely, but if a total stranger, better to keep quiet, second it depends upon age of the person, if a boy or gal case is different than an adult.. Thanks for the response, cheers God bless you. Prof
