Has your savings suffered with increased gas/groceries costs? With the interest rate cut on my savings, and increased costs on my gas/groceries I just can't seem to put any money into my savings and save!

I had to cut my savings down. We save X amount for each of our 3 kids every month along with X amount for us. We cut our kids amount in half and our amount by a quarter.

Isn't it scary that we're having to do that? I mean here are saving and saving, got a good thing going, then without any change in what we need, we have to cut savings down. Scary.

I definately noticed that it was much harder to pay the bills and loans when gas started increasing. It takes a big toll on your wallett. Until my recent promotion I was just barely getting by.

Before my hours got cut, I was doing pretty well with all my bills. I just bought a car a few months ago and used part of my savings for that. But, I haven't used any of my savings, other than an amount I had set aside for a certain purpose, since then. Now, however, I am working less hours and making fewer sales of my artwork, so I'm going to have to use my savings. I think we're all pretty much in the same boat right now.

I am only 17 and live at home, so I don't yet pay for gas and groceries. I have found that my savings suffer from the increasing cost of provisional driving licenses and passports, which I think could possibly be linked to the increase in gas costs and how the government want to decrease carbon emissions by putting people off travelling.
