Under The Sea...Kind Of Mesmerized...

Today I went over to my Mom’s and while I was there she brings out her latest toy. It’s a plastic box that has a clear center. When she plugs it in it lights up and the screen starts moving. Suddenly there are all kinds of fish that move and coral and plants in the background moving. It is so awesome!! I can't wait to watch it and put my ocean sounds CD on...LOL
I decided I wanted one right then and there and with my discount (since I’m her daughter) it only cost me $15.00. Talk about a bargain. Anyways, I was going to put it in the bedroom so I could watch it at night but then I decided that I would put it on the back of my desk…mine and Hubby’s desks face each other…that way we could both see it and enjoy it. Since his desk light just blew out the other night this is the perfect solution. I am sitting here trying to MyLot and my eyes keep getting drawn to it. It’s rather mesmerizing.
Have you ever had anything like this? Would you ever buy one? What about those lightening balls that you can get?

I have never had anything like that...but I would buy one. Sounds like it makes you feel at peace without having to actually take care of the fish! Actually I just redid my dining room and need just a small lamp or something on the new shelves I put in there and something like that would be perfect! I have never seen the lightening balls.

I like my virtual aquarium alot. The fish actually swim like they are real along with the coral reef and plants. Turn the volume way up and the air bubbles will put ya to sleep. Many nites I would set my screen saver to stay up for over an hour and just sit here and be mesmorized by it with the lights out.

That sounds like something that would help a person relax. I think it sounds pretty cool and will get one for myself if I can find them. I like to watch fish but don't like a fish tank because that means I would have to clean it out. So this sounds like a perfect solution. I get to watch my fish and don't have the job of cleaning a fish tank out.

I remember a nightlight for baby that was kind of like an aquarium or under sea thing. I have a real aquarium in our living room. I find myself glancing over at it a lot. I enjoy watch the fish dart around. I understand that watching fish in an aquarium can be very restful and help lower blood pressure. I have seen them in dental and peditricans offices.

That sounds like something that I would enjoy because it sounds like it is very relaxing and peaceful. These days I could use anything like that.
By the way, I respond to your discussions through my e-mail and I was wondering if you type your discussion in something else and paste it because it always has these funky symbols within the e-mail when I read it!

My son got one for his birthday 2 years ago and it still works after been droped like 100 times or so but it gets stuck from time to time. when he got it it was on 24/7 I joked with the person that gave it to him that I was going to give her my electricity bill

I love fish. Going to restock my tanks soon. They have the same affect on me, and I'm hoping to have a tank set up in the bedroom by my side of the bed.
Our baby monitor can also be the same. Just watching the flickering lights can send me to lala land! lol.

Yes I have seen something similar here. It's at the Discovery store. They do seem to be relaxing. And the Ocean sounds are soothing. Enjoy it! Your desk seems like a good option. For me it would be the bedroom. I need all the help I can get, going to sleep!Lol

twoey that sounds so pretty and relaxing . Ihave never had anything like that really. closest I could come to that and its a pretty poor fifth maybe is an old lava lamp our friend Mikegave to us one year. I used to get a kick out of watching it when it was turned on. But i once saw something in a museum someplace that was a sort of diorama of a banana planatione weth moving trees and little workers picking bananas and loadinf them on to little train cars and other workers walking with bananas stalks on their heads and some donkeys moving along with stalk of bananas on their backs. thse were all minatures and all were moving. it was so delightful and I wish I could remember where I saw it.
