I have been trying to get my family to eat more healthy but it is so expensive, food just keeps going up. plus my kids are the pickiest eaters in the world. heart disease runs in my family and my dad past away a year ago May 4th. I dont want my kids going through that with me and I dont want them to have to worry about it when there older. It seems that now when we know and are finding out about all these bad things in all these foods we have eaten our whole lives are so bad for us and we need to eat healthier food just keeps going up due to gas prices and whatever else, Its hard enough already to eat healthy when the healthy foods are the ones really getting expensive but now there getting more expensive. Do any of you have a secret on how to stay cheap and still eat healthy food? how do you buy your groceries? I need tips!!!

Well thats why america is one of the fattest countries on earth. I also have the same problem with eating right. I am trying to eat more vegitibles and frit even though I like a lot of them its just hard for me. Maybe its because Im always beeing forced to and you know when your forced to do something your mind wants to rebel aganst it.

thats one of my problems I think that plus convenience, its more convent to buy cheaper faster foods. my boyfriend works second shift so shopping is hard cause we only have one car and he takes it to work so we only have limited time in the morning.

It seems like the healthiest food have always been the most expensive. But, one thing I've found that helps is buying frozen vegetables and fruit. Yes, there is some debate about whether or not it's just as healthy, but I seem to get a lot of benefits from it. I buy frozen at my local club store. I also found a store which has farm fresh produce for a good price, too. Basically, I would focus on whole foods and not just healthier versions of the less healthy foods. Whole foods will be cheaper than that diet pack of chips or cookies. But, you probably already knew that.
