i am planning to move from my present apartment because of the flood happened last Sunday almost all my stuff and important documents were wet until now i am trying to dry it under the sun. My landlady now is very close to me, should i move to another so that i will not experience again the flooding or i remain occupying her apartment? i ask you opinions about this. Please i do apologize if this matter is not mean to you.

Hello Julyteen! I think it is wise to move out and find something better that will not be flooded whenever there are strong rains and storms. If you can, you may consider here in Baguio. There are good apartment for you here. I will personally help you find one! Ha ha ha

I'm sorry that you had to go through a flood and lose things. It sounds very nice that you are close to your landlord. I would suggest that you do whatever you are most comfortable with. I don't think I could stay there and take the chance of going through another flood and losing things again. That is too paiful and heartbreaking. It is also alot of work trying to replace things or fix things that were damaged.

If I were in your case, I would rather transfer if flooding happens from time to time from where you live. I happened to live in an apartment also years ago wherein the place really floods because of very poor drainage system. I liked the place and the people there too but all my things gets all wet. There were nights that I get to wake up finding my living room and kitchen all flooded. Ouch! The cleaning that I have to do afterwards was such a nightmare. So I decided to move for my peace of mind. LOL!

Regardless of your closeness to the landlady, you still have to take into consideration the risks and threats in your apartment. In my case, moving to another house would be better than to experience flooding. It is very uncomfortable and unsafe for all of you.

Hi there Julyteen! I think that you should move to a new apartment. You can still stay friends with your landlady through communication like mails, or text messages or phone calls but you are renting an apartment for shelter and it should give you that.
