Our little Makenna is a tiny delicate bit of a person but she is tough as nails and so competitive! About a week ago she and her 5 year old brother Noah came to 'help' Gran. We were picking up the last of the limbs that have been cut up from the ice storms. Under each piece we found earthworms so they has a plastic bowl and collected them for fishing. Miss Makenna wanted to pick up more even if they were going in the same bowl. Finally she stood as tall as she could and pointed up at her big bro saying" NO No No No Noahy..MYYYYYYYY worms...get!" It is so funny because she is such a tiny thing..very small and fine boned....Not a push over though! Aren't the grand ones wonderful? xoxoxoxoxoxo

Aren't they just! lol It sounds as though if we got her and Niamh together there would be a real power struggle - we could all just stand back and watch the battle of wills! xxx

The grand kids are wonderful and they keep us on our toes and looking forward to each new day. It is funny that the little ones are so determined.

I know exactly what you mean sis , My youngest granddaughter used to boss everyone , we loved it though , It is funny how we still remember all the cute things she used to say , I used to say I could eat them without a slice of bread , meaning they are perfect just as they are , xxx

LOL! How cute!! I do not have grandchildren, and being as my oldest is only 16 I had better not be for several years yet (alas I am afraid that it will be sooner than I hope due to poor choices on her part). but ANYWAY, I do look forward to the grandparent season of my life and enjoying those moments. I am glad you are able to spend time with them.

Oh yes they are just soooo funny at that age with the things they come out with. My son is four and I have been teaching him manners but every time he speaks at the moment he starts with 'Excuse me please, I just wanna say something' and it just sounds so cute. Ellie :D
