I didn't think anyone else thought like me. I also do this as well. I usually go to the ones with no responses first before looking through the top discussions for the day. I just think it helps others out. I enjoy helping others. It's just difficult sometimes, because some people truly type about nothing at all. I find it hard to respond to a discussion as such. I still try to find a way however. I am glad to have found someone else you does the same as I do.

I know it does take patience. I try so hard, sometimes it doesn't work, but at least I know I've helped someone out, because I still responded to some here and there. I also try to help the newbies as well. And I didn't know about the smiley faces, I was focusing on getting to 500 so I can post pictures to the discussions and make some more money that way.
About my "nick name" it isn't a nick name, its actually my real name. I know it kind of difficult to say. I don't know many who can unless they are Vietnamese. I honestly don't know what it means, but everyone says it sounds beautiful.

Hi,
I also do that every now and then, not only the discussions with no responses but also new user discussions. But mostly I see the discussions get repeated there. So I am a bit wary of those discussions getting deleted later on.
There are lots of discussions at mylot and some of them are repeated in these and some of them are of one line answers and discussions. Have you noticed? If you respond to those discussions your posts will also get deleted along with them. So I am always a bit scared to post there. Only if I am genuinely interested in the thread I respond to those new threads.

Alot of new people dont realize when they post one liners what it means.
If no one answeres the discussions though how will they know. Not to mention how they feel when no one answerers. Alot of them give up.
With as many people as there is on this site and growing everyday it will be impossiable not to have repeat discussions.

I will try my best to help out with this also. I have several discussions from my friends in my email inbox also to respond to. I will be able to answer alot of them from right there. We have to be so careful as to which discussions we reply to and some of them may not get a response because of it but I will do the best I can to help.

I go to look at the discussions with no responses pretty frequently actually. When you are new, not many people see your posts and it ends up in there unfortunately.
I give a lot of time to the discussions that my friends start. But, I also try to find those overlooked posts as well.
We were all newbies at one time or another.

I was reading through the discussions-some really bad but if someone just takes a moment to say hey welcome you might try posting a little differntly or give advice they might stick around and have something to add here.

I know what you mean, sometimes there are a lot of discussions that have no responses and I do try to go through them and give them a response. But sometimes it is so hard as some of them do not have much to go on!! I will have a go though later and see what I can do.
