Have you "felted" wool fabric? I need some input... / myLot

I am starting to work on my projects for the local fair. I am creating a large dragon and plan to use various colors of wool to make the main part of the dragon. I plan on felting the wool and am wondering how much shrinkage to expect. I have felted wool clothes by accident and had clothing that could be bullet proof. Now that I am consciously going to shrink the fabric I am at a total loss on what to expect. I would like the dragon to be about 24 to 30 inches tall and I am doing wings out of iridescent sheer fabric. I have it planned out in my head but need help on the shrinkage of the wool. Thanks!

i would love to be able to attend a craft fair soon but all of them that i find are too far away from my home for me to go to i would like to be able to sell some of my own crafts or at least get some sort of recognition for my "masterpieces" haha a large dragon sounds like it would be amazing i am an avid crafter but i have never heard of felting wool fabric it is something that i will have to look into doing if i were you i would ask some professionals at a local craft store or i would look it up on the internet
