Today women have the right to vote just like men. It seems impossible to believe that this right was ever denied to them. Looking back 5000 years of long history,Wu Zetian was the first and only female emperor of Tang dynasty in China. I'm wondering did you ever had a woman emperor in your own country? sometime before the year 2010 we will have the first woman president. That will be a great triumph for all women.

We had a woman as president once herein Indonesia, but she didn't do very good. My people thought of her as a puppet mastered by her husband because everything she did was assumed done under her husband's influence. Having a woman as a president would be okay, but I have to say that there are some drawbacks to it if the she is not independent and tough.

I think we are about ready to have our first woman president here in the United States. Hilary Clinton is running for the Democratic team right now. It is a very close race between her and her other running mates. I think it will be neat to have a woman for a president but I am just not sure if she is the right one for us.

Right now our country has a female president. Her name is Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. She's terrible. She is involved in electoral fraud, graft and corruption, human rights violations, treason, betrayal of public trust, etc. You name it, she's done it! I hate her. I hope she goes to jail for all her wrongdoing. Or better yet, I hope she burns in hell where she belongs, along with her husband Money Pakyaw.

I have no problems with women in places of leadership. I try to look at such people and see the position which they are in and not the man or woman.

Yes Here in Canada we had a woman Prime Minister but she didn't last very long, just a few months and then the government was defeated, her name was Kim Campbell. She was the nineteenth Prime Minister of Canada from 25 June to 4 November 1993.

we had a woman president in the philippines.. she promised to bring the price of a fish down - well it went up now... most cannot even afford that fish- and it used to be a poor man's dish. now we have, again another woman president... and gas prices have gone up.. and still is going up every week. we have rice crisis, and graft corruption is every where... im not saying all women will only harm their country but it takes more than guts to handle a country... you have got to have vision and the luck to make it real.

In America I'd love for us to have a female President..and we currently have a lady running right now...but I wouldn't want her to be our first lady President...nearly anyone else would do, in my opinion. There's nothing wrong with having a girl leader of a country...there needs to be more of them, in my opinion, to try to balance the overwhelming amount of male leaders there are. But until a great woman rises up, I'm content to wait til then.

I don't think anything goes wrong for a female president. I agree to it. The most important is the capable ability for the leader, rather than the gender. I love China

We've had a woman as Prime Minister in the UK and I don't think she was as bad as people like to say she was. She wasn't as bad as some males I could name, and certainly better at the job than the present holder of the title. Most top Polititions are Power-mad individuals who care far more about the 'Title' than the job they were elected to do! Do you think Hilary Clinton will be the first for the US and do you support her?

I would love to see a woman, a real woman run for the office. Not some one like Hillary who is in my opinion and lier and a thief. She lied when she ran for office. Saying she would stay the whole term. She stole the office from someone who would have fought for NY. She is one of the most abused woman on the planet. She would make America a laughing stock the world over. The Arabs were not afraid of her husband and they sure as hell will not be afraid of her If some one like Margret Thacher of Golda Meyer or Ellenor Roosevelt ran i would be the first one to jump for joy. But to have someone like Hilary who when she destroys america will set woman back a hundred years.

Corazon Aquino - Former president of Philippines
Maybe you need a lot of information abut female president and how their people accept them. For the list, here is the link http://www.guide2womenleaders.com/Presidents.htm In my country there is more than one female president as year 1986 to 1992 and 2001 up to present.

women and men have the same "weight" nowadays. it seems that in our country male and female have the same right, opportunity in life and so on, so having 2 female presidents is not bad, as long as they serve well in our country, and who knows? maybe the next president in the United States would be a "woman"?

We had a woman prime minister in the UK and she was just like the men a waste of time. She was called Margaret Thatcher and she is still as hated now as she was when she was the prime minister. I don't think women are any better or any worse than men at running a country as all politicians/governments are corrupt, power hungry and should be shot.

I think that one day a woman will be president of the USA,and I think it is long over due for one, because women can do just as good a job as men,at running a country,I will not be surprised if when we do get a woman president,if she does a better job then most of the presidents before her.
