I think that is one of my most favorites of cheese is the velveeta and it makes a wonderful grilled cheese and also sauces for veggies etc. Which cheese do you like the best? Do you like velveeta?

Hi Jill I have never heard of this cheese. My favourite that I have in the fridge at all times is English Mature Cheddar and that grills well too. I will look out for this one though. Ellie :D

I like Velveta for certain things like dips and certain dishes but for a grilled cheese sandwich it is a little too powerful for me. Melt me some velveta and put some picante sauce in it and give me some chips and I will eat and eat until I make myself sick almost. hahaha

Velveeta is the very best of cheeses to make a grilled cheese sandwich. I haven't had one in years. I can eat Velveeta right out of the package with nothing but the cheese. I also like tomato soup with grilled cheese sandwiches along with some potato chips. This discussion is making me very hungry. I need to make a trip to the store to get some Velveeta.

Sure I'll shop for you and then I'll drive it right on up to you. Might take me a couple of days to get there. You think the bacon will be spoiled?

I like pepperjack on that! And I haven't tried cheddar on a sandwich. That's a good alternative though I am sure.

Velveeta is a totally processed blob-- I don't even know if it can be called a cheese (I think it's called process cheese food on the box) but I agree, it melts great and makes the BEST grileld cheese on earth!

I love Velveeta cheese toasted sandwiches but had to give them up when I became allergic to dairy products. I went for about 5 years without cheese but did find a substitute which will work good on my grilled cheese sandwiches. It is called Smart Beat and it is a non-dairy cheese that melts really well. I have decided that it will substitute for the real dairy filled cheeses. I use it on pizza and tacos, it's great. I also have found soy ice cream and when you can't have it otherwise it is a delicious substitute. I would love to have Velveeta though.

The only processed sliced cheese I like is Kraft. Even then, I only like it on grilled cheese sandwiches. I don't ever eat a slice of cheese on its own. I didn't even like it as a child. I don't like Velveeta cheese in any form. I think the only cheese I really like on its own is mozzarella. Oh, every once in awhile I can eat Colby too. Dairy products wreak havoc on my stomach as I get older!

Umm...I don't think velveeta is real cheese. Otherwise they wouldn't call it velveeta, they'd call it cheese. I'll take NY Sharp Cheddar or Havarti cheese, please.

That sounds good too. I don't like alot of cheddar on something but melted is very good.

I do like velveeta, but to me there is nothing better than cheese you have to slice yourself, what I call real cheese. My favorite of all cheeses to just eat by itself is mozzarella.

I love mozzerella but mostly just on sandwiches or pizza...or something Italian. I have not ever tried it just by itself! I'll have to do that sometime.
