i made 2 cards for mothers day, one for my mom, one for my mother in law. i also made them each a set of magnets. for my daughters birthday, i will be making her friends all hemp key chains and for my other daughter's friends, i will be making her a winter scarf (with yarn that i got at a thrift store!)
what projects are you working on and when and who are they for?

I make a lot of the cards I give out, unless it is one of thoes times I forget a card and I need to stop and get one. I also make gifts when I can. Last year I made a bag holder for my family. Just a tube with an elastic at the bottom to stuff bags into so we can get them when we need them. It was simple and all done with scraps so the cost was very low. I would love some new ideas to make more things for this year. I am running out of ideas.

I recently started making my presents for my loved ones. Last holiday season I made everyone there gifts by hand. I made my step father a display shelf, for my mother I created a painting, for my father I made our family crest on a sheild of wood. So on and so on, every gift was special and made from love and out of all the years that the holiday season had brought stress and disappointment, this last year brought smiles and tears of joy. Some people may think that handcrafting is a cheap way of getting out of gift buying, but nothing reflects you care more then the time you spend.

I love receiving gifts that are homemade. They mean so much. I used to give homemade gifts more often than I do now but I still do it once in a while. Some people are very odd about receiving "homemade" items.

I bake gifts. This week made cookies for my husband, daughter, and daughter's boyfriend's family. They had given me a large bag of fruit, so was having fun baking many different items. I made cookies, muffins and bread with the fruit.

I made card for my daughter and daughter in law for mothers day...and helped both my granddaughter make their mom's little gifts and cards. Today I'm making a card for my sister's new house...a card to send to my son in law who is at officers training school and two birthday cards. I do make alot of gifts and most of the time they are greatly appreciated! I bet everyone loved your gifts too!
