i live in north minneapolis where crazy and bad things happen all the time. today me and my lil sister walked to our corner store and when we were walking up a man had a gun towards this woman telling her to "give me all you got" the woman couldn't do nothing neither could we.the man took the woman's purse and cellphone the crazy thing about this situation is that she had her son with her and he was screaming and yelling and out of nowhere he slapped the little boy and at that moment me and my sister called the police but before they got there he ran and he also took her son's honeybun and shoes.we helped her describe the man. what would you have done being in our place? do you think we helped at all?

The mother and the son were the victims. They were caught up in the moment. You were probably able to identify necessary characteristics about the individual, that they may not have noticed. (Different people see different things) Not only can you help identify him, you were also the witnesses to a crime. They need your testimony. And since you were willing to help....you did what you could... I think you helped... People need to stop attacking other people. And in our own country.. Sad. And we're still at war...

OMG. The poor little boy. I can't believe that stupid shi*t like this is happening. I mean these are just people that don't have jobs and rob people so that they can survive. Of course you helped. You called the police and hopefully with what you described to them they will be able to catch him.

I think you did the right thing by not getting involved and calling the police. You could have either gotten hurt yourself, or escalated the situation to where he would have hurt the woman and child even more. I've seen robberies in broad daylight and all you can really do is call the police and comfort the victim. Also, if you can give the police a good description, that helps quite a bit. I think this criminal was extra despicable because of what he did to the little boy. I hope they catch the guy.
