What's that in my Glovebox?

If you happen to get pulled over would you be prepared for opening your glovebox to find what the Officier wanted? Or is it full of who knows what, or things you might not want to have shown?

Rosie, If I got pulled over I could guarantee to go to jail for years. I keep wicked and eveil things in my glove compartment - Barry Manilow, David Cassidy, Donny Osmond, Hits from the 60s, all sorts of stuff that the Taste Police would find hugely incriminating. Of course they are not mine, but my wife's. They all say that don't they? I have got a very useful book that tells me where the nearest supermarket, hotel of restaurant is to any Motor (free) way junction. But of course it has never been used because I am always in far too much of a hurry to leave the motorway. There is also a box of nuts. Not peanuts or cashews, wheel nuts that have been replaced by lockable ones designed to never come off when the car owner tries to change a wheel, but that any 14 year old joyrider can get off in a nanosecond. The one thing that I have never ever had in my glovebox is a pair of gloves!

Bethany - Thank you. It would have been even better without the spelling mistakes. My excuse is that it is late in my little corner of the West. Rosie - Nuts? You are welcome to come over and twiddle them anytime you like. Don't bother with the gloves - they feel better to the ungloved hand.

I have no idea what is in my glove box I know the manual for the car is in there other than that I don't know. I don't keep my registration and insurance card in the glove box I keep it in the console so I would not have to open my glove box if I did get pulled over.

Nope mine would be pretty easy to get into. I have driving gloves, sunglasses, kleenex, registration and proof of insurance. I know all this because I just cleaned out my car :))) You caught me on a good day. Now if you had asked a few days ago it would have been a whole different ball game.

rotflmao if you call diapers, blank cd's and feminine sanitary products out of the ordinary then I guess there was... and lots and lots of napkins, straws, salt and a squished package of ketchup.

Our glovebox only has a manual about the car and our GPS system. Nothing else. I keep it clear of rubbish and stuff.

Hi Rosekitty, I can easily answer this one as I cleaned the car out the other day ready for it going for its MoT and I know for a fact my glovebox is completely empty! Prior to that though there were a bunch of receipts, a few sweets, some babywipes, a pair of scissors, a hairbrush and an instruction manual for the CD player and Car manual for the car. I actually never keep car documents in the car, here in UK you have 5 days to produce at the police station which if this happened I would do. Cars are easily broken into and these documents are valuble. Ellie :D

My glove box is fine. It has only my insurance info, some extra conact lens solution and case, maxi pads, and tampons! Maybe the officer wouldn't like to see quite everything, but oh well! LOL

Lol. Yes, I know what is in my glovebox. There is a little notebook that lists every oil change and repair done on the car. There is a little glass cleaning towel. There is an eraser. My proof of insurance of course. Toothpics, sunglasses, the little book that came with the car and some "neccessities" just in case since I am getting to be an older woman.

My husband keeps the glove box in order.. If it were my responsibility to keep it in order, then there is no telling what might be found in there..
