Just wondering how you guys acquire the computer skills that you own now? For me, I started to learn computer through a computer training center. Then, I used it to online and surf information for my assignments and stuff like that. So, I managed to learn more about computing through internet too. What about you guys?

I learned how to type so quickly in high school. As far as web surfing and all that, I learned basically by hands on experience.

i learned web programming, and design from the web. I search and browse many different sites that has valuable content we can learn from. Learn it, try it on my self, and suddenly it written on my memory. I guess it was called learning by doing. :)

I know with me, it mostly came from me just using the computer, I just seemed to pick it up, especially after Windows came out. They didn't have personal computers that much when I was a kid and when I was in high school and college, most computers still relied on Dos. I had to take a class to figure out how to use Dos based programs because you needed to know the commands. But, when the Power Mac came out and Windows was developed, using the computer became so easy for me because I am a visual learner. I still take classes relating to specific program, especially if it's job related.

I started back on an Apple 2C. It was the top of the line with a double disk drive. I had some guidance and help from computer users. Back then if was learn on your own and share with others what you have learned. Now I have more power in my Palm Tungsten XT that the school had in all the computers.

I only learned using a computer during my college years. The first things I've learned was playing Warcraft. It was during college that I've discovered my passion in computers. My house mate before owns a computer and I usually use it. It is then that I learned how to use a computer. Then I've learn how to use computer applications and surf on web pages through the Internet. Through the Internet, I've have now learned to create my own movie, create my own web page, create games and how to program. I've learned programming in college but it is passion that motivates me to learn and explore more. Now I work on the IT industry. :)

Best way to learn something is by practising. You may take up a project of your choice and start working on it from start to finish. You will need to go through and study a lot in live projects and helps you learn faster and enhance your skills.
