Was at my daughters for Mothers day Sunday and she is getting bigger as she is pregnant. Well myself, my wife, our daughter, and the youngest grandson decded to go to a nursery. Nope not the kind with babies. Well they do have babies. Babies for my garden etc. This place is called Pahls Nursery. It is one of the hugest nusreries I have even seen. This greenhouse is one of maybe 30 that are there as well as the open grounds areas with trees, shrubs, hedges, flowers, and veggies, vases, bird baths, fountains etc. Anyhow I was in 7th heavan there window shopping. We bought us a new strawberry plant and also bought the daughter 2 tomatoe plants as well as a strawberry plant also as a Mothers Day gift. So how big is the largest nursery you've seen? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I have never been to any nurseries that were really big. It sounds like a great place though. It would take a long time to go through all 30 greenhouses. Hope you had a blast.

Not that big! And it sounds like no where near as big.. Glad you got to go to the nursery after your cancellation the other week.. Sounds like a fun place to just go and hang out and wander around for awhile!

I only get there when we visit our daughter as it is nearly 45 miles away. A long drive for window shopping or to buy just a couple of plants. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I've never been to a nursery, I mean actually on the grounds. I have seen a few though, but none even close to that big. I don't even think they were a quarter of the size you are describing. I would love to go to one though, but will have to wait until I have the money as I will want to buy some things.

I don't really go to nurseries to buy plants. I usually head to the local Menards or Lowes instead. Reminds me, I have to get my tomato and pepper plants this Friday while I'm out shopping.

I've got some Bell Peppers, Banana peppers, and Tomatoe seedlings sitting outside ready to plant. But I always get a large grape and roma tomatoe plant each year. I will be getting the cukes, zuchinii, and a few others this weekend as well. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I have been to one called Thress's here in Knoxville, I think that it may be the largest one that I have been in.. I have bought many items from them but for the last couple fo years I have been buying my tomato, pepper, cucumber and watermelon plants from our local flea market.. The have someone bringing them in from a nursery and they sell them on the weekends at the flea market.. I have always had good luck with my plants that I have purchased at the flea market..

We have a small store near us that we bike to called Bob's. They sell foods, meals, groceries, all kinds of plants, flowers, and garden supplies. We get some there as we like shopping locally. but this place, Pahls, is great. I love it. the scent is great. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

One of the largest aquatic nurseries I have seen is in Florida is 15 acres. Oregon has 432 nurseries and been in many of them. California with our mild weather has even more, as there are a lot of very small ones near me. Plants are everywhere in this state, as people like a perfect yard to go with a high cost house. Also been in a few in Washington, but just not enough time to visit more places last time I was up there. I knew you meant plants. Its the only kind of nursery you would see me walking into any day of the week. My husband wants to move to Florida, so could be seeing more of that state and the ones around it.

I love nurseries and green houses--- the only problem with them is getting my daughter out of them! She likes to help me pick out flowers each year- We usually buy 2 flats of flowers and then several plants as well- the bigger the nursery the longer we are in there! I've been to a couple that are large-- with about 15 different greenhouses :)

Hi GRANDPA BOB! I think that the one near my place is just about 300 sq.m., not that huge compared to other nurseries in other places here. However, it is already big enough for me since there are a lot of varieties and garden decors I could choose from. I do like the tomato plants! Take Care and Happy Mylotting!

This place is enormous. Like I said they have 30 to 50 greenhouses like the one pictured. Then a lot of stuff outside on display then a small indoor store as well. Their prices are fair as well. Comparable to other nurseries. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

The one we used to go to was also big like that and way out' in the tulles. Iloved going through it while myhubby bought 'plants as he was a landscaper working for other families It had trees and shrubs and flowers garden statutes and all sorts of interesting fountains. The thing I remember the most 'though is our pickup always did a number when I was with him. One time it was the transmission and we had to call our' son to help us pay for a tow truck, the next time it was a battery. These things never seemed to happen when he' was along only when I went along. You know I can still envision that nursery but to save my life I cannot remember the name of it. it sold mostly to landscapers but they also did have some ordinary customers.they had a gorgeous display of fuschias which I loved to buy. things we never could grow back in my home state of S.D.
