I miss my dad.
he passed away August 30, 2001.
I'll never forget that day and the way I found out and just the way I fell apart.. even before they actually told me I had a feeling something was very wrong.
him and I were very close, he had 5 boys and then the last baby he had was a girl (me) so I was very special to him. I was the only one who ever hung out with him.
my 4 oldest brothers grew up living in a differant state and then my brother who we both have the same parents just wasn't close to our dad at all..
my dad always made me feel special and he would tell everyone about me.
his friends loved me and whenever I was around them they all made me feel so special.
it was so hard to lose him. I remember just crying and saying that "I want to go too, I want to go too!" I didn't want him to leave me behind.
it was the worst thing I'd ever been through in my life. I had never had anyone close to me die before.
him and I were so much alike and I felt like, who do I have now?
I don't cry as much now, and it's a little easier but there are days when I just
can't help but cry when I think about him..
I think about him every single day.
what helps is that I KNOW with every ounce of me that my dad is in heaven.
I just know that he is.
it's hard to accept that I can't pick up a phone and call him or go see him.
but I know that one day I will see him again though.
sometimes I feel like he's there... like a lot of times when I pull into my driveway I just think he is gonna be sitting on my porch..it's weird..
My grandmother also passed away about 3 years ago.. that was hard too. ever since she passed nothing is the same. our family use to get together for the holiday's and as soon as she got sick and went into the hospital, all that ended.
I am really hoping that these next holidays we can spend together but it's so hard to get people to do it.
if she was here there'd be no question but it's like everyone just drifted apart..
I have dreams of her so much.

Oh, I miss my mama and daddy so much. My daddy passed away four years ago this coming July and my mama passed away two years this coming September. I am in my fifties but I still miss them so much. My heart just feels like someone is tearing it out of my chest at times I miss they so much. I know they are much better off with the Lord and not here suffering but that doesn't stop me from missing them. I am so sorry about your grandmother and I know you miss her daily. I will whisper a prayer for you.
