What will I do without Alex O'loughlin to look at?

I have loved the show Moonlight since day one. LOVED IT! The cast was fun and beautiful to look at. And, they had great chemistry together.
But, today it was announced that it has been canceled. Frick! This stinks! I really did enjoy this show. If CBS was going to relieve us of a show, couldn't they have relieved us of Cold Case?
What do you all think? Did you love Moonlight? Are you sad it has been canceled? Will you miss the beautiful everything of Mick St. John as much as I will?

Oh, man. Did you watch last night's episode? The look on Mick's face when he thought he and Beth were breaking up...pure anguish. I wanted to go console him. lol. I'm really going to miss this show.

I haven't watched that episode yet! I recorded it on my TiVo but has spent the whole day today reading a book that I wanted to finish this weekend, which I did, and running errands in between, same as last night. So, I haven't seen it yet and, because of that, I didn't finish reading your response just yet. So, once I get a chance, I will come back and fill you in on my thought! LOL! Sorry! I didn't want to know anything about what happened and it looked like you put something in this response that would have given me some knowledge before I got to see it on the show! I am going to flag this response in my email notification so I can remember to check it and come back here to tell you what I thought once I get a chance to see it!

I am Way Beyond Upset that Moonlight is gone however.
i have bought all the episodes from amazon unbox and they are there when ever i need my Alex fix!.

I am really sad about this show not being picked up for another season! But I did see a similar show that is going to be on HBO, I think. It's called "True Blood".
This is what it says on the HBO site about it:
"Thanks to a Japanese scientist's invention of synthetic blood, vampires have progressed from legendary monsters to fellow citizens overnight. And while humans have been safely removed from the menu, many remain apprehensive about these creatures "coming out of the coffin." Religious leaders and government officials around the world have chosen their sides, but in the small Louisiana town of Bon Temps, the jury is still out.
Local waitress Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), however, knows how it feels to be an outcast. "Cursed" with the ability to listen in on people's thoughts, she's also open-minded about the integration of vampires — particularly when it comes to Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer), a handsome 173-year-old living up the road. But as Sookie is drawn into a series of mysteries surrounding Bill's arrival in Bon Temps, that tolerance will be put to the test."
Sounds similar, but I don't know if I will watch this one...I want Mick back!lol!

I want Mick back too! And, I saw the Making of True Blood. A little 15 minute show that sort of introduced it. It looks really good and, I would recommend watching it because, even my hubby wants to and he didn't watch Moonlight. So, I am looking forward to the premiere. I have it on my calendar but can't remember what day it starts. LOL!
Anyway, hopefully True Blood will be great and, while it won't be a replacement for Moonlight, it will be something fun to watch!

Seriously? That sucks! I LOVE this show. It got off to a slow start, and I think the nail in the coffin, no pun intended, was the writer's strike. But this is a good show with some pretty dedicated fans. They cancel a good show like this but renew a piece of crap like "The new adventures of old Christine". Are they kidding me?
I want Blood Ties to be back too. Vampire shows are sexy. lol.

I actually knew about the blood drive fans did back before they came back after the strike. If I remember correctly, the show was in danger of getting canceled even then and that is why they started the blood drive.
I too hope that the fans can get it back but, without a network to air them, there isn't much that we as fans can do. They need to find a willing home! I still can't get over the fact that The CW denied them. Moonlight would be perfect on the CW...ummm, hello! Home of another little cult favorite called Supernatural! LOL! But, there is not accounting for stupidity! They really could have done right by Moonlight and Moonlight would have brought 8 million more people to their little network! But, whatever! LOL!

they did have a new episode on April 25th and I heard that the show is on a list of hopefuls for next season. My fingers are crossed. I loved the show too!

aw man! i can't believe that cancelled it :( they should have moved it to a new night. fridays at 9 everyone is out doing stuff, not sitting around watching tv. i absolutely loved that show! i thought it was funny and interesting. i liked the idea of it too. i can't believe it won't be back. i agree they should get rid of cold case. i certainly will miss mick
