I cooked for a family get together for my friend.

She had two kids graduating. One of the things they wanted to eat was a grilled sandwich on rye bread. Its filling was roasted turkey breast, cream cheese, sprouts, and raspberry honey mustard. It was surprisingly good. Would you like it? What kind of special sandwiches do you like?

Oh, yes, that is just the sort of sandwich I brake for! Rye is one of my favorite grains for bread and so healthy because it is the grain that build the most muscle mass, unless I am mistaken. Buckwheat is also very healthy. I love creams cheese and sprouts on a turkey sandwich, too.

We were copying a local deli. They serve some really good sandwiches. This one is called "The Pioneer".

The raspberry honey mustard sounds interesting. Is it something you bought or made? I am not too sure about the sprouts, but the rest of the sandwich sounds pretty good. They grilled rye bread makes me think a Reuben sounds good right now.

We bought the mustard at the deli that originated this sandwich. It looks like a syrupy honey mustard, but you can taste the raspberry. Sarah Lee has or had a cranberry honey mustard that is really tasty, too.

I have never had that combination before in a sandwich, but I do have to say, it does sound good. I am easy when it comes to food. I like most anything and will try most things too. I don't want to eat anything weird, slimy or yucky. I like normal food.

The raspberry honey mustard sounded a little strange, you spread it on one slice of bread, then add the sprouts the turkey meat, and top with a slice of bread spread with cream cheese. Then grill it. I liked how they came out.

That sounds very tasty. Any leftovers you could send me??? I like any sandwich someone else makes as I have no culinary imagination.

That is a good reason to hang out here, lots of people with imagination, or very good cookbooks.

Yum, that sounds so good! I love trying new kinds of sandwiches. I rarely find one I don't like, unless it has American cheese on it. Don't like American cheese. I don't know how to make a lot of different types of sandwiches, mainly BLTs and egg salad sandwiches.

I do not consider American cheese to be real cheese. We eat a lot of sharp cheddar. Try some avocado in your BLT, or roll your egg salad in a tortilla.

I never had rasberry honey mustard but the rest sounds tasty. My fave sandwich, although not really a special sandwich, has to be a rueben. I love corned beef and the toasted bread is great as well. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

My preferred sandwich would just be a club house, I would also enjoy a subway-style sandwich where I can put any filling that is available. By the way you describe it, I can't help but drool. I love cheese, honey and mustard because they all provide a good mixture of taste..

I would love all the ingredients you put in this sandwich. I dont know if I have ever tried raspberry honey mustard. Sounds yummy. I guess for my favourite sandwich, I would like roast chicken, avocado & cheese. Not very low fat unfortunately.

The monosaturated fat in avocados is supposed to be very healthy, though, and that sounds delicious.

Rotflmao the last 2 discussions I have answered have been yours and you have wet my appetite immensely. Sounds wonderful. I do a grand Ruben. My kids love it, but they are so expensive to make. The corned beef alone from the deli is outrageous anymore.

When the grocery deli closes at the end of the day we find lots of good meats on the clearance counter. That makes things more affordable.

Wow, sounds yummy to me. Honestly speaking I dont know if i will be able to eat this kind of food that you discus here. im from the Philippines and maybe the things you described here can only be found in five star hotels and maybe would cost a lot. I have never eaten turkey and never had an idea what a raspberry would taste like. I bet it was really good . I have only tasted those plain looking and normal sandwiches, i have never tried fancy ones. Have a nice day and take care.

What an unusual sounding combination. I was OK with it, right up until the point where you added the raspberry honey mustard! Sweet and savoury together is often very tasty, but it's not something I can get used to thinking of. The first time I was offered an American style breakfast where syrup and bacon were served on the same plate I was horrified ;-) Very nice, though it takes a bit of getting used to if it's new to you! I think my sandwhich combinations are sadly very dull. I like my peanut butter with chocolate spread, and I find that a little honey brings out the flavout of cheese, but that's about it really.

It brings out the flavour, but works best with cheddar type cheeses. If you don't already do it, try a little balsamic vinegar on strawberries too. Sounds weird but it intensifies the flavour beautifully.

I love to eat good old-fashioned cucumber sandwiches made with cream cheese. I'm looking forwards to my crop of burpless cukes (I love garden season!!) I also like making Reuben's. (Only thing better than makin' one is eating one lol) One thing I haven't made in a long while is a watercress sandwich. I haven't made a trip back to our spring to get any. That sandwich you made sounds great, I'm going to have to try making one of those.
